What gamepad are you guys using for the PC version?

I got the game and tried it on keyboard. it is impossible on keyboard. So I looked at some gamepads and got the Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual analog 2, since it seems to mimick the PS2 controller the best (4 shoulder buttons, etc.) the only thing is the D-pad doesn't work too well, and the left-analog stick refuses to work properly. The game only recognizes 4 directions for the analog stick so I can only move in right angles in the game.

So what gamepads are you guys using for the game? Anybody have the firestorm and have encountered the same problems I have?

Logitech Dual Action

D-pad probably isn't as good as your standard PS2, but it's the closest you can get on PC without getting a PC converter for your PS2 controller.

The siderwinders are v.good in my opinion if they had more buttons. The ps2 pads tend to rip your fingers up after a few hours of play, or is that just me?

Does anyone of you who use dual action have problems with the left stick? I've had 4 dual actions and the left stick has stopped working properly (can't move fully right on 2 of them and can't move down fully on the other 2) on all of them. Its no big deal since I can play with my logitech wingman rumblepad pad, but its still annoying as the dual action is more suited for pes.

yes. i have had problems with left stick, too...

change it back at the shop you bought it and be sure to get one with a newer serial-number.
my old dualaction had AW40-XXXXXX, now i have one with AEW42-XXXXXX and it works fine. :)

I'm using the ps2 convertor & a ps2 dual shock pad. Does anybody know how this pad should be configured properly within PES3. when i look at the gamepad setup & check all the buttons plus axis movements they seem o.k. but during ingame menus's etc I cant use the down button on the d pad. I've had to remap the axis but cant get the analogue control to work properly.Anyboy out there to help. Ta

i had that prob at first. found out, configure the d pad as normal and make sure the dual sticks are not assigned to anything and you'll be ok (H)

I complained to logitech support about the first 2 and they send me 2 new ones with different serial numbers, but they have the same problem (another direction tough). The problem appears after a month or so. But im pretty happy with my wingman rumblepad and cant be arsed to change the dual actions again.

I've had loads of problems with pads, I got a logitech dual action but the left stick lost its calibration after a few mins and wouldn't go right. I looked on the logitech site and they are denying the problem altho loads of people are complaining. I sent it back and got a thrustmaster firestorm dual power 3 which was not too bad but the sticks didnt feel as accurate as my friends ps2 pad n converter. so now i have a ps2 pad and converter....which is good....no problems yet. Had some problems with other games with it (nfs underground went crazy) but uninstalled the drivers that came with it and used joytokey and it works perfectly!.....

....that was a very way of saying i use a ps2 controller and converter :p
