I'm looking for a new gamepad for playing pes3. I now have the thrustmaster Firestorm Dual power, but that just doesn't seem to accurate in the game, players aren't running fluently if i use my analogue stick, I also play fifa and my right analogue stick isn't even recognised properly in that game. I'm looking for a playstation2-like controller. If i had a playstation2 i guess i would buy an adapter because i allways liked the playstation controllers, but unfortunately i haven't got one.

What controller do u guys use ?

Thanx for any feedback

Logitech Dual ACtion gamepad.

It's the closest thing to an actual PS2 pad there is for the PC, if you don't want to buy a ps2 gamepad and an adapter (i don't own a ps2). It's only $20 too.

Logitech Dual Action gamepad. Awesome pad for $20. Almost a straight copy of Dual Shock for PS2.

i use the thrustmaster firestorm dual analog, the button mapping is the same as the ps2 gamepads wich is great for this game :D

I got the Logitech Dual Action and this is in my opinion the best choice on PC to play PES! This pad is amazing!
Of course, you always got the choice to buy a PS2 adapter + real PS2 pad ... but you won't get anything more and it should be a tad more pricey!

Cheers!

Definitely the Logitech Dual Action USB game pad, it's absolutely brilliant, control is perfect and you can map the controls to match a PS2 controller. It's $20.00 (US) but does not have force feedback, presumably to keep the cost down. Logitech should really make a force feedback version of it.

nostrmo by belikin. Its a huge game pad, like xbox. But a design of pS2. Good for putting on you knee to play and if you have large hand.

IT looks very ugly(sp). Probably on of the ugliest in the market. got it for $20(aus) in the trash bin. IT works well, too bad it doesnt have dual shock. But for that price what can i ask for more

Mike, Logitech does have 2 forcefeedback versions of their Action Pad, its called Logitech RumblePad and Logitech Cordless Rumblepad.

The rumble pad has a different design then the dual action pad and cheap plastic-ey analog sticks. An exact copy of the dual action but with rumble motors would be the best. The cordless rumble is nice but too expensive ($50)

What a coincidence... just yesterday I bought the Thursmaster FireStorm Dual Power, and they'll bring it to me tomorrow, so until then I can't tell you how it works.
What I can tell is that I've been searching and reading some reviews (not from companies but from common people who bought it) and they rate it 10/10, so it must be good.

See ya!

I always play on my Xbox gamepad! It works surprisingly well, and I actually like the black and white buttons better than the L1 and L2 buttons for PES! I thought it would be akward but I actually like it better! PES on Xbox can't come soon enough... ;)

Yes you are right. Only the cordless rumblepad looks similar to a PS2 gamepad.

A surprisingly good pad is the Saitek P3000 USB cordless, up until now no games for PC would let me set it to analogue without pausing/resetting the game as soon as I moved the analogue stick.

On PES3 its a DREAM I have configured the buttons using settings.exe in the Konami folder and its so very like a PS2 pad its really a joy to play with and NO WIRES getting tangled round my chair and desk like normal pads either.

The distance range is awesome I can pause the game from another room in the house if I so wished its so sensitive :crazyboy: because of this sensitivity, the button responses in the game feel even more positive than playing on my PS2 with the real controller.

Quite cheap here it was in the UK [PC World] about £30 which is not bad for what you get. Two battery packs and an inbuilt charger cum stand to hold the controller when not in use, batteries last about 4-6 hours play and you always have a pack ready as one is on charge whilst the other one is in the pad.

After the longer than normal initial charge for each battery pack, charging usually takes about 2 hours from totally dead to completely charged.

Its wonderful to hold too, very comfortable no stress on my hands or fingers whatever, after using the sidewinder for long periods I always had blisters and sore joints!

www.saitek.com for more details you could do a lot worse than taking a little look at this one.

Hope this helps some of you!

Gravis Eliminator (USB) or the MS sidewinder. I prefer the Gravis pad because of the dual analog sticks and the fact that it has more buttons to program for game controls.
