What is the better version of PES3: The PC or PS2 version?

Or Winning Eleven 7 International (if it is going to be any different than PES3).

Trying to decide whether or not to import the PC version (has it been confirmed for N. America?) or buy the N. American PS2 version.

Odd that I didn't see any threads on this. But I've had trouble accessing this board, so that could be why.

thanks

if you have a good PC + good controller, then buy pes3 pc-version.. because of the editing stuff + high res

if you want comfort and dont want to edit your game, then pes3 on ps2 is better !!!!

Even though i play it on ps2, i would have to say the pc vers. Years of torturing myself through that fifa dross tells me pc games are better as a rule.

If you're a PC gamer then the PC ver is for you.

If you're a Console gamer then the PS2 ver is for you.

Only prob with the PS2 version is having to mod your PS2 to play the updates. Not difficult with the flip top kit but still, a bit of a pain. If you have an ok PC I'd say go for it on there because the graphics on a good resolution are amazing. The editing is a lot easier when updates come out and if you really want to play it on your big TV (if you have one) it's easy just to run a lead from your graphics card TV-out slot. Once I got the PC version up and running well, I sold my PS2. I know I'll probably regret it when WE8/PES4 comes out and I have to wait an extra 3 months ofr the PC version but given I only really played PES3 on it anyway, it seemed worth it.

Well, I play on both PC and PS2.

How important are the downloadable updates? I really don't care about stuff like having the official shoes or things like that, but if it adds new leagues, modes of play, teams, players and/or makes the gameplay actually better etc. I'm all for it! :hump:

I became a member of this forum last year in January. I was just learning about WE/PES series at the time. I was "new." One thing I remember that everyone was saying and got stuck in my mind is "WE is ALL about the GAMEPLAY." Kits dont' matter, names don't matter, number of teams don't matter, etc.

Guess, times are changing. What mattered then, don't matter no more. People get all crazy about patches, updates, boot-packs, faces, etc. Everybody praises the hell out of the PC version coz you can "download new boot adidas clits with 3 white stripes"... . Guess I'm the only one who really puts the gameplay abover everything else. To me this other stuff just "don't matter."

Whether I play with Rolando or Ronaldo, in high resolution or low resolution - it don't matter. The game is beatiful and that's what matters. Getting into the game is what matters.

I'm a console gamer so I'm sticking with the console version. Planning to buy some big a$$ WS HDTV in the future. Some SS. I'm good. :mrpimp: :D

Thank you and hopefully I'm not the only one of this opionion. :p ;)

Hehehe. Peace. Can't wait for the first WE game on PS3. :rockman: :o (H) :crazyboy:

I think PES3 is near perfection. It's that tiny bit nearer perfection with the patches. For me, the gameplay is all about how 'real' the game is, and obviously all the extras do add to that reality. It's no good without the gameplay, but the extras help.

So for me, if it works on your PC that's the way to go. The only time I prefer the PS2 is when I'm playing with mates. But then I use their PS2s :)
