What MAterazzi said revealed

who cares what he said i been playing football since i was 5 years old, and i've heard stuff on the pitch that sometimes was so silly it made me laugh, i never ever tried hitting somebody like that, again i love Zidane and we all know Materazzi is a dirty player, but Zidane should've kept his cool specially with what was at stake.

i been a zombie all day long i'm sad but i take solace that we made it farther than we thought, we still love Zidane but we gotta lay this to rest.

after all if we wanted to win we had to win the shootout or score goals during the game, we couldn't do any of those, we may have had played better but we had bad luck on PKs congrats to the italians, it wasn't a good final (i hate finals that go to PKs)
but we lost it anyways.

notice how Zidane is tight lipped, rather than blabbing to the first camera or official he saw to report that scumbag while Italy is still basking in the glow of its win. I guess all the class he lost with this incident must have suddenly come back to him in the locker room

I know Materazzi is a twat, but why are you guys judging him like it was his fault?
No one knows what he said, at least wait until Zidane tells what really happened. I find it stupid calling Materazzi a racist, without even knowing if he really said something racist.

THANK YOU!!

I'll have no problem condeming Materazzi when the time comes, but you guys are acting like you know for sure what was said. Why couldn't Zidane have snapped for something small, he's done it before! I'm pretty sure the Saudi guy in 1998 didn't call him a "dirty muslim terrorist".

I don't think so. I don't like what he did later.
He wasn't looking at the penalty shootout and later he didn't went to receive the medal. He should had admitet his mistake and be with the team. He is the captain and leader and he should had been with his teammates. Even Cisse was there with his broken leg.

Agreed but he wasn't allowed to receive his medal. It's not a case of wanting.

What I head was that Materazzi said: you're coming to Inter next season!

That's enough for a headbutt in my book. Dirty muslim, aight. Terrorist, hmm, okay. Hot mother, whatever. But Inter? No way. (H)

Not true. Zidane is human, he's nothing more. We expect him to be bigger than we would in those situations, but he's just the same as us. He was carrying that arm injury, and had been running for nearly 120 minutes. I don't expect anyone to hold their fuse in that situation.

SKY SPORT NEWS reports that Materazzi was insuling Zidane's wife saying she should take her shirt off and flash Italian roster once they win the WC, thats the real story.

Now SKY SPORT NEWS also said there was some talk about Materazzi calling Zidane a "muslim terrorist", apparently he denied this by saying "I never called him a terrorist, I don't even know what the word means".

When asked if he said anything about his wife, he replied "no comment".

Anyhow, both men are expected to be fined.

mouth, words, out of

He may be a great footballer, but he is a human being like all of us, and we all have our faults and our triggers.

It really killed me today that on the single biggest sporting stage in the world, the bad guy got away with it, and the good guy had to walk off with his head down. That photo of him walking past the trophy drives me to physical illness. Next time Inter fans get pissed, I hope they toss a brick through Materazzi's Maserati
