What to do with van Nistelrooy?!?

I've been playing a game with man utd.. i'm in the 3th season and i got a problem with van Nistelrooy.

In the first season he scored over 40 goals
In the second season he scored over 35 goals
And now the third season is almost over and he scored 15 goals.

Does he get any better after 3 seasons or should i get rid of him. And who should i buy instead of Nistelrooy? This is my team

GK: Barthez, Carrol
Def: G.Neville, Gabri, Nesta, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Keane, Paulo Sousa
Mid: Beckham, Rosicky, Ezquerro, Veron, Scholes, Riquelme, Giggs, Umit Davala
Att: Raul, F Inzaghi, Ventola, Van Nistelrooy

It's a great team.. but i need a striker who can score lots of goals!

Yeah, van Nistlerooy does have a dip in form around the time you are talking about. But stick with him and he will return to form in a big way over the coming season and will be better than ever. I still have him playing for my team in 2009 and he's scoring at a rate of about 0.9 goals per game.

I see the reason......you have some other stars who are taking his goals...I like to keep strikers and fowards to 3 max on my first team or there will be a lot of sharing the goals

I use the 3 striker system to.. and i got one supersub...
i rotate raul, inzaghi and van nistelrooy and ventola was my supersub..

But i started a new seasen.. the 4th and i got rid of him.. and i bought Djibril Cisse and Totti, I hope they score more then Van The Man..

Van Nistelrooy is still my top striker in 2007!! He had one low scoring season because he got injured for 4 months, but every other season he's got 25-40 goals. I also have Anelka, Vassell, Defoe, Samba, Burchill and Webber on my books. Burchill and Vassell are both on the transfer list though. Anelka gets 20-25 goals a season, Defoe 15-20 and Samba is in his first season with me and has 10 goals in about 15 games.

Anelka is my big problem.. if i'm not top of the league he gets unhappy because he thinks it reflects on him.. he also skips training constantly and hands in transfer requests at the drop of a hat!! If he didn't score so much i'd get shot of him immediately!!

High's and Low's of Anelka's career at Man Utd:

LOW:
One week after signing him, he hands in a transfer request. Reason: He dislikes a member of staff and a player. Solution, i sold Dwight Yorke and sacked the coach he didn't like

HIGH:
Van Nistelrooy is out for the rest of the season with a broken ankle, Anelka steps in as my number 9 and bags 25 goals to win me the league

LOW:
I'm third in the league by 2 points because i have 4 games in hand due to a heavy cup schedule. Anelka hands in a transfer request because the club is underachieving. I accept and he withdraws it once the games in hand are played (He does this EVERY season)

LOW:
Anelka turns up late for training. I give him an official warning. He hands in a transfer request. I accept but receive no offers, he changes his mind 2 weeks later

LOW:
Anelka turns up late again. Another warning.. another transfer request.. again he withdraws it.

LOW:
The newspapers praise Anelka for his goalscoring skills. I praise him to the papers and my chairman tells me i handled the media badly and he will get a big head!

MEGA LOW:
The newspapers praise Anelka again in the same season! I remember what the chairman said, so i play down the comments... Anelka hands in 5 YES FIVE transfer requests!!

That last thing happened fairly recently and luckily i had saved the game just before i answered the newspaper, just in case something like that happened, so i reloaded the save game and praised him instead! Well, i'm not gonna get fired by the board, i'm too good for that!!

sign him to a Long contract at the start of the game and put him in reserves.....and keep him there till 2011....see how muich he complains.....and refuse his transfer list asking
I was getting them almost every two days at times...lol
couple times he said he was not reporting to the team, so I fine him 2 weeks pay he gets pi$$ed...lol, but he keeps coming back, he has no choice till 2011,lol

I would, but he scores so many goals, even when unhappy that i just can't help but play him! I'm hoping Defoe or Samba will go that extra yard and become world class pretty soon so I can put him on the transfer list.

I hope they improve the transfer system in CM4. Alex Ferguson once said that he receives offers for his players every day, whereas on CM01/02 I am lucky to receive one offer a month!

Also, should it be possible for you to ask a player to look for a new club? It's annoying when you transfer list them and they just sit in your reserves for 2 years because no one wants them..

go lower, then after a week set it higher
I get a lot of offers around mid nov's from the spanish clubs when I play the likes of Ajax and so on

I find it works sometimes to value them at £30m, then wait a day and reduce the price to whatever they are worth. That brings up the WNT sign on my players, but only the ones I don't want to sell! Players like Vassell and Burchill who haven't even played this season just don't bring in any offers at all. It actually took me 2 seasons to sell Malcolm Christie at a price of £0m!!!
