firstly it is outdated..... all the rosters etc are from two years ago

secondly, and more importantly, CM4 is riddled with so many bugs, which makes the game almost unplayable. CM03/04 is relatively bug free, and is upto date as of last season ;)

Football Manager 5 (from the creators of CM untill now, SI Games) is coming out later this year, so if you are willing to wait, that could be a better option :confused:

CM01/02 for me, far more addictive than any of the later ones.

People say that the rosters are out of date, but the way i see it, after 2-3 seasons most peoples squads are going to be different anyway. IMO.

Championship Manager 01-02

Mainly because it's addictive and fun. CM 03-04 just drags on but it's fun if you have the patience. Which I don't.

cm01/02. I've played cm4 and cm03/04 and they've never given me the same "just one more match" feeling that cm01/02 has. I think the longest i could play a cm03/04 game was like 5 seasons. My current cm01/02 game is up to about season 20.

CM03/04, and as stated few post above, if you can wait, wait for Football Manager. Thats how Championsip Manager will be called from now on, there will be another game with the name Championship Manager but it will be based on a totaly different game engine and new database. So basicaly the only thing this game will have, is the legendary name of CM. Football Manager will be Championship Manager, just with a new name
