The hair aint just a texture, its a 3d model.
You must have editied another hair texture didnt you?..and it woulda came in a bin which has the 3d model.
Like hairy069.bin
It is a texture but I am sure it must have a 3d model inside that, or else the hair would just be flat.
What file have you changed to make your hair?

overwrite the hair like the face and give it the same name. for example
facey001
hairy001
when the face is called face* then it's a star face, import it with dkz studio or graphic studio, perhaps it needs more space and you have to regenerate/rebuild your 0_text.afs after importing the files.
