how do i find out if my agp is 2x/4x/8x or universal agp 3.0 bus configuration or something...

btw...which is a better option to buy.. a cd-writer or a new graphics card..the latter obviously being more expensive.
I currently have nVidia GeForce 2MX/MX 400.
Also, Samsung DVD-ROM.
I am thinking of Radeon 9200SE 128MB or Sony 52X CD-writer, both of which fit into my price range.

if you play lots of games buy the videocard, if you plan to burn music (or whatever) then get a cd burner.

one thing, why dont you buy the video card and then go for a generic CD burner for 30 bucks?
