next year , oct 2007 ... seen a piece on video , guys watching the WC in a pub in the US playing PES6 and talking to Konami GM. End of video the presenter , starts naming the systems PES6 is coming out on PSP PS2 Xbox DS , next gen xbox360 ! And turns to the Konami GM and says , PS3 ???? he replys , We'll have to see about that one! interviewer turns to the camera and said, there you go! have to wait and see if its to be released on PS3!
So I take it NG PES , will not be until next year PES7 if you will ...
But if its to be TRUE NG, then there will have to be two versions made, one of all the last gen systems and one for true nextgen ... porting PS2 version to PS3 and the 360 will not cut it ...
for all they want to do with gameplay and AI animation and physics, can't be done on the PS2 and ported to the NG console , not if you want a true NG game.. Just as with a true NG version, could not be dumbed down to run on a PS2 or Xbox..
The only way around it , it to make 2 version, that's if Konami really want a true NG game to sell on the PS3 and 360. While a PS2 version would run on a NG console (see PES6) it would not be a true next gen game..
I for one would buy a NG console , if konami remade WE/PES into a true NG game , with a new engine, with new gameplay physics and animation. Watching the video of ingame Basketball player version1 PS2 turning in angles and not moving and lifting and planting his feet ran side by side with the same player using PS3 NG, true 360 turn , and as the player turning he lifted and planted his feet (no-skating) and as a cursor was moved by the figure, it followed it in real time with head and body movements..
Can't remember the name of it , but what it was , was the NG of motion capture..
And it will give the animated players the look feel and movement of a real player (or as close to it as you can get) .. This can be done with NG untis, not with the old gen, that is why I think Konami will have to make two versions of WE/PES .. Or call the new NG game something else .....
