Is Casillas a worldclass gk? I would say NO.
Defenders: Roberto Carlos and Salgado are very good players... but only in the offense. Hierro is too old and slow. Pavon is okay, he is talented.

Defenders: Roberto Carlos and Salgado are very good players... but only in the offense. Salgado is not so bad a defence...
Hierro is too old and slow, but hes very effective so. Pavon is okay, he is talented..but Pavon isnt in the starting 11 any more now Helguera is in his place and hes good defending and also very good heading... The point is Real Madrid is 5 times better than your Bayern ....
Even in your league their isnt any good teams just Dortmund, Leverkusen and Bayern.
But in the Spanish League: Valencia,Barcelona,Deportivo,Betis,Real Madrid,Sevilla ...

Real's starting eleven is unquestionably stronger, but I, and I am no expert on Spanish teams, ask, whom else do they have?
I look at Arsenal and I see Van Bronckhurst, Ljunberg, Pires, Jeffers, Kanu and Upson on the bench or injured and I say
'Damn we are good"
To be honest Raul never impressed me, I think Morientes is better.
Ronaldo is more reliant on the midfield in his post-op days so I say if Arsenal can combat Figo and Zidane we can whip these guys.
Guess what? We can. If Vieria doesn't know how to shut down Zidane after playing with and against him for six years then he is not the player I think he is. And surely Ljungberg, Pires and Cole can handle Figo
The only player I think Arsenal can't match up against is Giuti, who is as good as a player as there is in football today.
Just my opinion I could be wrong, and often am.

Zinedina Zidane, Figo, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Morientes, Saviola, Ronaldo

I'm not so sure if it's Morientes or Mendieta who plays for Madrid. I keep mixing them up for some reason .

Real have a good defence, although they could get a world class centre back like Milan, Inter and Man U did this season, instead of a 3rd striker when they already had 2 really really good ones in Raul and Morrientes.
