Which gamepad can i best use to play fifa 2004? I did read a thread which said what gamepads could be used best. But which one is really the best? Also for OTB. I am using a microsoft sidewinder pro, but this one hasn't have a analog :f***: . Please give me advise about it, so i can buy a new one that works fine. :)

I suppose the Logitech Dual Action (dual analogue) pad is the 'best' for this game.
EA seem to favour it so much, and have based the button configuration around it.

The Logitech Dual Action pad is the best for fifa? Then i am going to buy this one i think. Fifa is the only game i play with the gamepad. So if this is the best one haha. Thanks btw.

If someone thinks, an other gamepad is beter. Please say :D

Does the Logitech Dual Action GamePad allow you to use the 8-Way D-Pad when playing the FIFA 2004 demo? I heard you can only control the game using 1 of the anolog sticks. I'd like to buy this gamepad, but if I can only play the game using an anolog stick, then I really don't want it, lol. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Are you waiting a couple of weeks because that's how long it's going to be before any British stores have stocks ?

I've been trying all morning to find an online store that has one...

_A Looooooooong update! :) Thrustmaster Vs. Logitech...

Just 'for your information':...

I have finally received my Logitech Dual Action gamepad- two days ago. I 'love' it- it's far more ergonomic (comfortable/easier to hold) than the Thrustmaster pad. The analogue sticks seem to be a little more accurate too. The 'OTB' control works correctly in the demo now. I can deke manually in NHL 2004 properly now as well (with the right analogue stick)- I didn't know it wasn't working right, with the Thrustmaster. I can pull-off some brand new moves now with the Logitech!

I highly recommend the Logitech Dual Action pad- just make sure that you get the latest model. Some people have had problems with the old version.
Mine's fresh off the production line! :-) I've waited for three weeks for it. They don't even have it in stock at gameplay.co.uk yet! I'm glad I 'shopped around' now. I purchased it from www.gameseek.co.uk -it's a smaller company, but the guys are knowledgeable/helpful there. Don't get me wrong though, gameplay.co.uk is a great retailer- I've pre-ordered PES3 and FIFA 2004 there. :)

I've used it extensively (a lot) over the past couple of days- it's just so comfortable!! In my opinion, I wasted my money buying the Thrustmaster Firestorm 3; the Logitech was £5 (UK Pounds Sterling) cheaper- but it looks/feels better to me. The Thrustmaster is just too big; bulky; and 'heavy'- for a gamepad. If you've got 'goalkeeper hands' (massive hands)- maybe you'll prefer the Thrustmaster. I don't, mine are average. Sure, I can reach all of the buttons easily; it's just a bit too wide really. Uncomfortable!

Anyway, if you're looking for a great gamepad for FIFA/NHL/PES3 etc., try the Logitech Dual Action pad. It's even better than the PS2 pad in my opinion.
