Which Konami soccer game is your favorite?

WE6FE, the one that gave me the more fun. Less aracadish than WE7, even if I like it very much.

I'd have to say PES3 too,but ISS 98 on the good old N64 was great too,was still playing it 3 years later.

I agree with awax for WE7-PES2-PES3 are more arcadish then WE6FE. I too prefer the more simulator-type game and for that reason I think PES 1 was the best, but they put so many new things in WE7/PES3 (like the option to do transfers and the nice animations) that WE7-PES3 are shared number one for me.

For me it's a tie between PES3 and ISS98. ISS98 is pretty dated but it has alot of the little touches that PES3 lacks, such as the ref being on the pitch, animations for the players setting up for a free kick (when is a game going to have quick free kicks?) some sideline people/players when you make subs, computer changes it's formation, and other little things like the lightining fast announcer (the delayed announcer in PES3 makes it feel fake) and better chants. But PES3 kills ISS98 is about every other way so it comes out a tie.

I have it, an absolute classic.
I remember getting it as a christmas present about six years ago. I played it for the whole night (In Finland presents are given on the eve..)

still I prefer PES3, it's shear brilliance. some small flaws, but superb gameplay and attention to detail takes the cake for PES3/WE7

well personally i luv PES£ but the game that comes closest is ISS Deluxe on the MegaDrive, SNES and(v.rarely) on PS1!!!
i thought i found it on PS1 be4 only 2 pay for and take it to get the CD which they never found
i still hav it on MegaDrive tho!! n on emulator(sorry if that is classed as warez)

I only started with the Konami soccer games with WE6 for North America (international?). It happens to be the best soccer game I have ever played. It's funny because last spring I really needed a soccer game for my ps2. So I started checking out EA's latest offerings, the reviews were lukewarm so I hesitated. I noticed that FIFA 2003 was constantly being compared to some game called Winning Eleven 6. Needless to say I read some review on WE6 and haven't looked back.

I'm gonna get some boos for this one but I loved FIFA 98 when I had it for my computer. The game was solid, along with a great community that added, kits, teams, stadiums etc.... It was also a great game to play against friends on the N64.

More booes here.... Sega Soccer Slam is great fun as well. Another good one for multiplay.

I agree. For example distance shoots in WE6FE were too easy to score than in WE7. In WE7 the AI blocks the shoots much better.

not only that, but volleys, build up, passing around the box (easy peasy in FE) and the general defensive intricacies...
