Hockey: I was a Pens glory hunter growing up in Vancouver BC, so I stuck with them now that theyve started sucking as packback to myself
I used to root for the Nucks alternatively, but the face of the team changed in the late 90's (never shouldve lost Linden
)
Baseball: Seattle M's, but in 1999 the Red Sox and Nomar were the team that got my intrest back to baseball, so they occupy a special place in my heart. M's first though
NBA: the Portland Jailblazers, but by virtue of where I live, I pull for the Wiz in most non conflicting situations
NFL: No real fav here, but because of where i live and have lived, its gotta be the Redskins, and then, perhaps, the Seahawks. Much like Basketball, though, I just enjoy the sport without major emotional investment (its easy when the skins suck
)
NCAA:
Bball: By virtue of my location, i support Maryland, but when it doesnt conflict, i pull for Kansas cause i always thought Hinrich was a balla (affinitty here has kinda carried over to the Bulls a lil: i wanna see them do well)
Football: No fav here, just love the sport, but my own school JMU are DI-AA natl champs so I like us
But in the big leagues, i like to see any of Oregon, UDub, or WSU do well, to rep the northwest
Footy: Professionally, its the Chels for me, but im just a glory hunter, because I only
really got into them post abramovich, now that theyve started becoming a global brand, although whenever I went to the UK or Ire on vacation, i would root them on because one cousin was a manc, the other a gooner, so it pissed them off
(Good thing i dont post over at BigSoccer, or me and that Dbag "Neo da One" would have words :s***: ) The lack of hockey has made me follow them and football
alot more this season, though
Internationally, Ireland is my team above all others. That said, because of guys like Lamps, Bridge, JT, Mikey Owen, etc, I like to see england do well wherever there is no conflict.
I wish i was more into DCU and the MLS, but im not
Man, sorry this is so long
