I'm 30 and I probably have a stack of CD-ROMs taller than some of the folks that post on this board. I'm lucky that my 28 y/o brother plays just as much as I do and we share our games all the time. We're still waiting for a FPS that allows 2 (or more) people to play through the single-player campaign together - HALO was supposed to have this mode but they shipped it without. Alien v Predator II was just screaming for this mode.

I play a bit of everything but mainly its sports and shooters. I already have Madden 2004, NHL 2004 and Rugby 2004.

I just finished Jedi Academy two weeks ago so now I'm getting started on Max Payne 1 & 2. I'm halfway through GTA Vice City but haven't played much lately. I've barely even touched The Matrix or Tron 2.0.

My favorite games:

Sports - FIFA series, most any EA Sports title, High Heat 2002
FPS - Half-Life, Alien v Predator
3PS - GTA Vice City, Jedi Academy
Strategy - Alpha Centauri, Civilization series
Multi-player - Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike

I don't see any reason why I would stop playing games other than my thumbs falling off.

Gaming Milestones:
1980 - 7 y/o - Intellivision (Baseball, Donkey Kong)
1983 - 10 y/o - Commodore 64 (EPYX Summer Games I & II)
1986 - 13 y/o - Commodore 128 (MicroLeague Baseball)
1988 - 15 y/o - IBM compatible 386 (Earl Weaver Baseball)
1993 - 20 y/o - IBM compatible 486 (Doom, Civilization)

Since 1996 it's just been out of hand.

I failed Shakespeare my freshman year of college because of Civilization.

I broke up with a girlfriend because she thought I liked Alpha Centauri more than her.

Maybe one of these days I will grow...but I certainly hope not.:)

lol...this thread is a funny one. :funny:

hm...if I remember correctly, I started playing FIFA in Super Nintendo, back in the year 1995 when I was 21 yrs old. :mexican:

And, yeah, I'm getting to like FIFA since FIFA 2003 (PS2) & back in the year of 1998 i.e FIFA RTWC '98 (PSone). Only both games that I think are the best at the moment. ...and I'll be cashing out $50 for FIFA 2004 (PS2) coming soon.

Now, I'm turning 29 yrs old, and damn..the only game I wanna play alot shortly will be EA Sports FIFA 2004 (PS2). :mexican:

Looks like you are all still wet behind the ears, I am 48 and have been playng FIFA since 1998.

Don't go in for any flashy artwork, like the rest of you can't wait for Friday, though did read on ea community that pc version not out til 7th Nov. Sincerely hope not as pc version must outsell the rest by loads.

I'm 25 and still have my Intellivision! Holy crap! I have Tron and Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back for that thing. It's amazing they still exist, but I love it.

My dad works for Hewlett Packard so I have grown up while these things were being developed. It has been quite nice to watch computers and the games grow.

Forgot to add that I think I will be playing these soccer games until I die. I play in two leagues per week now, and when my knees finally give out, what will I have left? FIFA 2025!

It was very funny! I remember when the referee was about to show you the red or yellow card you could run all over the pitch and he ran at you hehehe! tha was nice!

Then in PC I had FIFA 97, 98, RTWC 98, 99, 01, 02, WC 02 and FIFA 2003!

I love this game and I will love it for ever!!

36 here...

I first played FIFA95(?) on Sega. Have every other year since on pc.

I still have my Atari 2700 (?) with about 50 games or so. No footy games, though, but I'd have to pull it out of the back of my closet to verify.

The first game I remember having was the Pong console. Peace.

Love this topic. I'm 42...just got into computer gaming with FIFA 2001. Subsequently, I went back and got FIFA 98 World Cup. Now working hard on keeping FIFA 2002 alive...but waiting on a new computer to take a crack at FIFA 2004. And I play with a keyboard...so my reactions haven't slowed down a bit. I think actually, playing the EA football games on the PSone and PS2, that they have slowed things down considerably and made things much more realistic. I'll play Madden 2004 then go back and play NCAA Football 2001...and the 2001 game is much faster...and much harder, though not as realistic.

Cheers,
mutiger

According to a recent survey by the ESA, the average age of gamers is 29. Also, 17 percent of gamers in the survey were over the age of 50. Finally, girls represent a rapidly growing percentage of all gamers.

In conclusion, many of you are way too young to be playing footy games. Leave it to us older blokes.

Go out and entertain those girls instead -- they're so bored, they're turning to Playstation for god's sake.
