Kenny Miller of Celtic one of the fastest player out has a speed of only 74 far far to low, yet big jan veneegoor of hesselink has 76 while that might be nearer the mark for him, giving Miller a 74 is way out.. And that's not the only one's

The player stats are made by a big group of database editors, each country is made by people from that country who have been screened about their knowledge of football, if you think you can do better, just apply to EA, they don't pay much though, it's more of an "enthousiast" contribution not a way to become rich quickly.

As the teams in each league are licensed kits players names and such, you would think EA would just ask the clubs to get someone from the club to fill in the stats for each player ...

That wouldn't work as people from clubs have a tendency to always overestimate their players, that's why in the database team the editors are not allowed to edit their favorite clubs or the rivals of their favorite clubs to be as neutral as possible in ranking the player stats.

Keep in mind that each player has more than 30 stats which gives him a "ranking" number, what is new in Fifa07 is that players have now also "traits" which can help or on the contrary disadvantage them in given situations during matches, this year I think the editors did a pretty good overall job of getting as close to the reality as possible, even more than the previous years.

Mate FIFA 2007 stats are lets say fanny overall. Made not by watching the player in action, but bt hearsays, and how players popularity. Like 3rd best player of Premier League is Kalou. Many many players are over, and many underrated. 40-50% of stats in FIFA 2007 need to be made over again. Take a loo how some of PES user are doing it.

You need to be registered for that forum, which I won't because "PES" gives me a bad rash already only reading about it, when I picture a PES player I see a l33t dude from 15 years old with a reverted baseball cap on his head trying to look cool and show his l33t skillZ with his new ultra rumblepad 666 with remote control and coffee machine included, and I will be glad when the new japanese l33t06 comes out so I don't have to read on this forum how fifa sucks anymore. (yes, I had a bad day)

I did 4 teams for Fifa, and it's not about hearsay or whatever, I know those teams perfectly well and about 90% of the fifa editors know what they're doing, as I said if you can do better, apply to EA, go on their site and look for jobs, database editors.
