HmmmmmmmmmmmNady;3262961 said:Spain will struggle to score with 0 strikers because Italy is very strong in defense and they have good backup from midfield as well. Spain will pass and pass and won't be able to get anyone at the end of their passes/crosses.

You just dont like him because he tactically fouled RonaldoFilipower;3264374 said:Well, Arbeloa did all he could for Spain to lose, really. He's like the worse RB of the competition!
Opposing teams have always been happy to leave Sergio Ramos/Arbeloa open on the wing since they pose little threat compared to the midfielders, and rightfully so. I think Del Bosque or Xavi got fed up with Spain's possession always ending in a poor cross from the RB, so they just started ignoring that option.Sir Sir_Didier_Drogba;3264599 said:All in all I liked him this tournament for Spain, I liked the way he ran hard and always made himself available out wide in the attack. I also thought he did his defensive duties fairly well. I disagree that he was a liability against Portugal, considering he had the best player in the tournament up against him I think he stood up remarkably well. Ronaldo's lack of influence on the game bears testament to that.
Having said all that, many of his teammates must agree with you because it was painfully obvious his teammates didnt want to pass to him except as a last resort!
