Who's better; Zidane, Beckham,Figo,Rivaldo?

Right now, IMHO, Figo is the best of the four. He is the best dribbler, the most influent player, and generally the best passer. A very lethal passer indeed, perhaps the best passer from the wing since Garrincha.
Zidane comes second. Even though I rate him as highly as Figo, I think Zidane hasn't played to his level this year, perhaps because Zidane is the player who only rises to the big occasion. I don't mean that he isn't consistent, it's just that he seems to get on only when big things are at stake, so he isn't so impressive at minor games (and you know that sometimes Zidane can flare up a bit too much in these minor matches).

Rivaldo is a great finisher, has the greatest ball control, and he has speed and power to his game, but I don't see him as a competitor, such as Figo and Zidane. While playing for Barcelona, he has been missing the extra stuff, the "wish for emulation", that could lead Barça to european glory.

Beckham is a different case. Figo, Zidane and Rivaldo are more or less all-around players, Beckham is a specialist. He is the best crosser, he is the best in free kicks, but otherwise he hasn't the fantastic combination of skills that makes the other three football superstars. Football genius as he is, I think Beckham falls a bit "off cathegory" when compared to them.

Figo is the man!
He´s the best over-all player! He´s the most influent player on his teams, more than the others! He´s one-on-one barely unbeatble, great passes, powerful shooting, fisically more able, etc!

I don´t think Zidane may compete with the rest since he´s very instable, though he´s very very good player! I am sorry but i must say that the Fifa´s Best player Award was a political, economic and commercial choice! Figo was, and still is, much better than Zidane all over the year!

About Rivaldo and Beckam i think that they are actually excellent players, they are both specialists on shooting, though they are not as consistant and influent as Figo!

I think that, for his exceptional perfomances in Euro 2000, Zidane well deserved some recognition last year. FIFA player of the year awards may be much of a political affair, but in this case it was fairer than many fans thought.

What Beckham does with the ball is what Rivaldo, Figo and ZiZou do to an orange.

Figo is incredible, but he is a traitor.

ZiZou and Rivaldo are geniuses in their own respective rights.

But Barca is in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup becuase of Rivaldo. Barca should have beaten Madrid in Madrid if not for that idiot linesman. Rivaldo put them in that position. And Juventus is home, becuase ZiZou has not had the year he had in 1998 or last year. Right now, I say Rivaldo is the best in the world. He is carrying Barcelona.

Figo! Beckham shouldn't even be anywhere near the skill of Rivaldo and Figo when compared!

well... there are all different and they all got different talents but,

I think Figo is the best because he scores lots of goals and he has very many asists.

2nd is beckham (very good)

I would say Rivaldo even though I´m a Real Madrid supporter.

He sure knows how to find the net. I hope Real buys him aswell :)

The best player in the world is definetly Zinedine Zidane!! :p
Fifa player of the year 98´and 2000 and the
player with the best ball control since Diego
Maradonna!!
The second place goes to Luis Figo the man with the best passes and a great goal instinct.
3rd is Rivaldo,he is maybe the best offense midfielder in the world and he is a great striker too.Sorry but the only thing that beckham can good is to cross the ball very good. But its not enough to be the best player ;) ;) ;) :p :p :p

No you are wrong in the one-on-one is Figo more beatable as Zizou. A good defenser like in the game Real-Munich you can see Lizarazu and Sagnol have beaten Figo very very often in the one-on-one.They keeped him very good so he can´t go to the goal.I think Zidane is
more a head of a team as Figo you can see it in every game he plays.Figo´s abilities are more in the passing and shooting and he has a great ballcontrol too.but in the one-on-one i prefer Zidane!

Although he is not on the list, i still feel that the day Ronaldo gets back to full fitness (probably never though) that he is by far the best player in the worlds.

You cant judge a player on a single game, if you observe both of them you´ll see that Figo takes the best most of the times! He´s much more consistent than Zidane! Zidane is equally good but Figo is more competitive trough all season!
