Why am I so ****?

Whay am I so **** at FIFA 2003?
I am awesome at every other FIFA game out there.

I just cant figure it out.
My passes always get intercepted. I get tackled and loose the ball as soon as I get it. I cant score goals. In a professional season using Arsenal I have 4 wins and 13 losses so far.
If I do get the first couple of goals the opposition usally gets em back and then scores in the 90th minute to take the match putting me in a very bad mood and a making me a danger to everyone around me.

When I put the difficulty on semi pro I usually win 5-0 or something like that.

This game is really bad for my confidence and I have lost a lot of self asteem from playing it. Good one E.A. was this your Idea of some kind of sick joke.

Mabye you just suck at FIFA2003, and mabye you shouldn't let that bother you, because it's sad that it does.

Actually the same thing use to happen to me when I got Sameer's newest patch (when u just started to make the AI rush u very fast), whenever I played the freakin' opposition would score in like the last minute and beat me, I remember starting a season with a 4 game losing streak! I was pissed and it totallly lowered my self-esteem in gaming overall, but then I got the hang of it, and I stopped being so moody:p :mrpimp:

After playing a few months of championship manager

I've started playing FIFA 2003.

What i've done which sorta seems to work in world class mode is everytime you lose possesion of the ball drag a midfielder or forward into your defence or behind your defenders (drag him into the box). NEVER EVER PRESS THE CHANGE PLAYER BUTTON, and just control that midfielder or forward while your defending. The players on your team you arent controlling will either win the ball, or the opposition can only win corners.

The bad thing is you must remember to do it everytime you lose possession. Which wouldn't always be the number one thing in your mind to always do.

I think that a formation like 6-3-1, wasn't included because it was the only formation which defence could withstand the computer in world class.

Does anyone know if you can play 5 players at the back in FIFA 2003?

If your attacking the goals to the right side of a screen do the following

Get the ball to your right wing back and draw a midfielder out just before the half way line, and press the arrow keys

v < ^ and pass!

you must pass to your right centre mid and then press v > or just v and then pass, you've just passed to your winger, or if it not your striker.

If it goes to your winger press v < ^ and then pass, it goes to your right striker, keep doing v < ^ and then pass


If you don't understand I'll upload a picture to show what I mean.
Pressing v < ^ and then pass, for me has a better passing rate.

Soon I'll try to explain it using the left side of the pitch and the goals left of the screen.

I've gotten stress from all the FIFA series.

How about those moments when the computer equalises in the last few minutes of the game.

Happened to me yesterday, I was dominating the match against Man United Old Trafford, I had like more than 70 percent possession the whole match. Owen getting the lead on 7 minutes.

ARGHHH and they equalise in the late minutes, I just yell and screamed. Tragic aint it?

To make matters worse I had Diouf missing a sitter by hitting the post when the keeper was nowhere to be seen.

Too bad 4 u dude. I can't find the harder patch after beating everybody so easily, even Madrid!

Yeah! Me too...sorry for you dude, each time I play against either computer or human, succeeded passes are at least 86 %, if not 90% with the pc on WC I usually have 70 % ballpossession. Now I'm gone over to human competition, though lagging makes the whole thing screwed up! :rolleyes: Still, I find it a VERY enjoyable game...with humans over internet the opposition changes EVRY time, wich makes the game thrilling
