Why EA are not interested in making realistic football

First off, this is an open forum PES/WE vs FIFA
So anybody is entitled to post in it, you dips**t ...
Anyway, who made you a mod ? ...
Also, just because you are childish and don,t have the brain span to be able to adapt and enjoy playing either Fifa or PES, then thats your problem, Not mine ...

Yes i do prefer Fifa ... Mainly because i play on a PS2 console, and even more so, because i,m an English football fan who supports Arsenal, the English Premier league and english football, in general....
So i expect to be able to choose my desired team and play a game with the correct:

Team names....
Player names ...
And Correct Kits, etc ...

NOT ...
North London Reds...
Or Merseyside Blues, etc..
With some BullS**t player names & pretend kits.
And why the F**k should i pay £38, then have to sit there for over an hour editting everything ? ...
If Konami can,t be bothered to pay out for the licening, of probably the Best football league in the world ....
Then i can,t be bothered to give them my money. ( simple as ) ...

Ps, Is that a Clear enough answer, for you ? ....

I don't care about the way the players move in PES 4, it is all about the feeling you get when you play it or when you score. Both games are scripted of course but every team in PES plays in a different way. Both games aren't perfect, but PES is the closest of becoming perfect. Fifa fans say that us PES fans can't back up saying why Fifa sucks, one example: in Fifa 05 you can't get behind the central defenders if you want to counterattack or what, they'll be waiting for you at the the end of the box, it is not possible to create a one on one situation with the keeper. There is no excitement in the game, it is all so boring. The secret of PES is the action, excitement, so what if it is fast, that makes it exciting. The only argument a Fifa fan has is the way they run in PES (they run like horses) nobody says anything about the gameplay or the feeling they get and YES it is true that people go from Fifa to PES and not the other way, that must be the best indication you can get that PES is a better game. In PES the CPU changes its tactics during the game if it has to attack more to get into the game or defend if it wants to protect its lead. I have PES 4 on my PS2 and I have been able to put the licences and logos etc for all clubs in the game and I'll tell you this if Konami gets the oppertunity to get all the licences they will surpass Fifa in every way, the only reason why Fifa sells more is because of marketing.

You stick to playing that make believe, fantasy football game ... And i,ll stick with a game thats heavily flawed, But still actually resembles the real thing ...

PES is a great Football game, i agree... But nowhere near a great Football simulation.
Neither is Fifa, but it,s closer than PES .... Learn Football..

I've got both FIFA 2005 and Winning Eleven 8.

I play FIFA with my brother and friends, because it is a lot easier for them to just pick it up and play. Plus they have great presentation; sound, graphics, etc. And the right analog stick is a lot easier to use for sidesteps, etc.

But on my own I play Winning Eleven 8 just because it has kick ass gameplay. But i do wish their sound and graphics were improved. But I enjoy playing the cups and league, the computer responds really well. The animation for the players is a lot better.

Both games are good.

i used to play fifa 2004 and 2005 with my friends at work everyday (yes, we slack off a lot). When i brought WE:8 to the office one day they wanted nothing to do with it. They tried it, and hated it, and went back to Fifa. But slowly, over the course of a couple weeks, they all started REALLY gettin in to WE:8. And now, we NEVER EVER play fifa anymore. It just takes time for Fifa players to get used to WE/PES. But once they do, they eventually all make the switch. We can't even play Fifa anymore. I tried that Champions League game and it just aggrevated me to no end. Fifa is just garbage gameplay compared to WE/PES.
Fifa is all scripted. Ever notice that you can't play lob passes in to space? it'll always go to 2 players battling for the ball. At least in PES/WE i feel like i'm in control and can play however i want. In Fifa, you're forced to play the game the way the preset paths for each player and passes are programmed. The ball isn't it's own object. it's scripted. Which makes the game get extremely repetitive and frustrating after a while.

The only annoying thing about PES/WE is that i have to reconfig the controller whenever my friends want to play cuz they always try and mimic the Fifa control scheme.
