Why is this game so SLOW!!!!

I bought the game today, and i am really p****d of!!!
Everything is great, game editor, graphics, but the game is way too SLOW to be playable. I mean it's like i am playing the replay.
What is that, is this because my computer is too slow, i have a Duron 1300, 256 sdram, ge force 2 mx400 32 mb.....
Does anybody has the same problem like me.
Any help would be appreciated........

dude you must have the slow version, you shouldve checked the case on the store

I did read the other threads, but i thought that they have problems with graphics, not the Speed of the game.......

you can unlock the doublespeed option in the game by doing something, i forgot.this way , u can increase the gamespeed.there are other ways too. like installing omega drivers.check the other threads.

double speed option does not solve this, its your hardware, check out other threads. That double speed thing is a waste of time...fun when you're stoned

Its difinitely your hardware, looks like you need an upgrade cause durons are NOT made for gaming.

Come on..... with my Duron i can play every game that was ever released, with medium details, on som cases on high details, and i am talking about ALL games, FPS, racing games.......... and now you are saying me that i can't play a footbal game with my duron..
It's just 20 players on one stadion, i mean if i can play like, Splinter Cell, Max Payne 2, Igi 2, and all other MUCH better graphic games, then i should play a footbal game......
I am vey dissapointed really.
I was going to upgrade my computer these days, but now, knowing that this game works porly even on better computers, i am really not into wasting 200-250 euros just for this game, i mean games are not the main thing on my computer, i am buying a new hard disk, and Cd writer........
I hope someone release a patch or something to make this game work normal on my "BAD COMPUTER"..........

Your problem is the geforce 2 mx. The duron isn't helping matters much either.
The problem is bad coding from KCET which means the game must be run at 60 fps for correct speed; don't tell me your PC runs splinter cell or max payne 2 at constant 60 fps

try to play in the smaller stadiums. I get better peformance than like playing in San siro stadium

i find it hard to believe that max payne2 and splinter cell are anything but a slideshow on that machine.

Yeah i've got a Gforce 4 MX 440 and Max Payne works well but not PES3. So the problem is about the Geforce cards

Your completely correct, but that's with older graphic cards like the MX series. The newer FX series can run this game well. I would say the nVidia GeForce FX 5200 can run the game almost at full potential, but I'll go with the FX 5700 to play it safe. For Ati, I would go with the 9600 series to play it safe. Right now I'm running an nVidia GeForce 4 mx 420. The mx series for the GeForce 4 are only upgrades to the outdated GeForce 2 series not GeForce 3. That's why our mx series doesn't work. But for graphics, go for at least the FX 5200.

Well, I've finally got my copy of the game and all I can say is 'oh dear'.

I have a 1.4ghz Athlon, 512mb RAM, Radeon 9600 Pro and the game is unplayable. I've tried every tweak suggested, I've tried the patched and unpatched .exe, I've tried changing my sound card, changing the sound card options, changing compatiblity mode, updated all my drivers, tried the game in 640x480 mode in low detail, in windowed mode, full screen mode, AA and AF off, performance tweaked 3D settings, all background apps closed, all un-needed processes closed, I've tried literally everything.

I found it bizarre how the demo ran at 1024x768 at high detail, even with AA and AF turned ON, yet the full game won't run at any setting.

I guess I'll have to go back to playing the demo until they release a patch that fixes the problem... whatever the problem is.

I've got FX 5200 and a pentium 4 at 3.00 Ghz and the game runs LIKE **** even in 640*480...I'm going out of my MIND!

I'm guessing the TI series would run the game well because it meets requirements. As for the guy with the 9600 pro, I'm sorry, that shouldn't happen! the 9600 pro is one of the best graphic cards out there, I hope they find a solution to that.
