Why's it doing this ?

I have just got back from my local gamestation after spending £29.99 on pes6,

I get in and install and everything's fine,

I then try to play the game and that pops up.

What does that mean ? and how do i get the game to work ?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Just to clarify something. You put the DVD in the PC and you click on Play and that error pops up?

It is a real official copy i can assure you.

I come home , installed,

Then when ever i either click the shortcut, go to the original .exe or click it via the disk drive, i get that error and i have not got a clue why as my p.c is easily good enough to play this and this has never ever happened before.

I am really gutted as i badly want to play this game, and i don't know what to do.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Yeap...I was gonna recommend the same thing. And make sure you close all other programs, because from the screenshot it seems that you have a lot of other programs open.

Nah, i have not got a clue why it is not working, i've re installed and it is still giving me that message.

I'm all out of ideas now.

It may be that you have disk emulator software running, such as Daemon Tools. It can cause problems even if you try to put a genuine disk in if the software is looking for emulation programs running before the game boots.

Two solutions, either uninstall your disk emulation software or download something called "Securom Loader" (version 1.2 is the latest). That worked for me.

I've just downloaded securom 1.2,
it came as a win rar file,
i extracted it to desktop and then double clicked it,
it did not install it just asked me for the protected games .exe,
so i clicked the pes6 1,

And yet it still says

"a required security module has not been activated.
This program can not be executed (7000)"

I've deleted my virtual drives (which i did not want to do) and still it will not work.

Konami do not have a english support site on the internet for some reason and the phone line is 75p a minute which i find ridiculous .

I'm at my wits end now and i fear i will never be able to play this game, and i wont even be able to take it back as it s a p.c game, and they do not accept returns on pc games.

i think your best bet mate is to partition yourdrive and split it up to 2 to 3 virtual drives and transfer all your important document to them and install a fresh copy of windows xp on your c drive. this might make it work.

Worst idea i've heard in a long time. No use trying this......not going to work. I'm on a fresh install of windows and i still can't make the game work.

How has anyone made it work with the loader?

I'm not sure what version of Securom is used on PES6, but i did find this online. Hopefully someone is willing to give it a shot and see if it works.
Anyway, I would test it myself but i don't have the game yet and probably won't have it for a couple weeks (short on cash flow at the moment).

Right click icon on windows desktop.

Then choose compatibility, and change it to Windows 2000.

If you have two dvd drives in your pc, try using the other one.

Read this, this might be your problem, common problem with dual core and some games:

Anyone having this problem should download WindowsXP-KB924867-x86 from microsoft (don't forget to change the language). Now i am having a nice time playing PES6.
