Yeah I agree, I can only see a slow decline as you loose more and more of your decent players. West Ham, Sunderland, Millwall, Liecester, Derby, Reading and Wolves all have more change of promotion than Leeds IMO.

No-one to write home about though, really. Pugh's got a bit of talent I suppose.

Right now it may be better for the long term if Leeds stay in Division 1 right now and get some of their debts under control. Promotion while getting Leeds more money yes will also lead to more spending which could in turn lead to more debts. Or they could get promoted not spend a little and get relagated again after one season which I really don't think would be that positive for the group of young players at Leeds and would be gutting to the fans. The best thing Leeds can do is build up a base core of talent obtain some solid finshes and hope for a good run in the League or FA Cup. If they can do that and lower their debt in three or four seasons this team could be in good standing to make return to the prem.

They will return, but not this season. I think Leicester have the best chance of bouncing straight up. If the fans keep going to Elland Road the debts will slowly be repayed, and a 40000 at Elland Road for the home games would be fantastic for the players too.

I agree fully with Pennington 10, it would be better for them to remain in the Championship for another year to get their debts under control. I know the fans might not like that idea but its the best thing for the club. They will draw crowds of about 30,000 and will be the most watched team in the championship, add the possibility of good cup runs and then that pays off a lot of money. I'll be tipping Leicter City, West Ham, Ipswich, Sunderland, Wigan, Cardiff, and Nottingham Forest to fight it out for the promotion spots.

YEAH THANX(H) tru with pennington i think 1or 2 seasons or more to pay off the debt could clear the problem and they could be back in the top flight(H)

What you need is the play-offs, even if u loose in the final it'll still be a decent earner.

Just look at how much Palace got from winning the play-offs last season, £30 million!

I seriously don't see how Leeds could make a comeback for atleast the next 5 years how things went down. Its gonna take a lot of effort by the players and the management to get some more talent, stay on a good financial plan to not get back into debt, and also have a good coach. Currently none of that is really available so don't expect Leeds to be back next year or even in the next 2 years. Though who knows? Miracles can happen.

I don't think they will make it back to the Premiership this year. However in a few years they have an excellent chance because the Leeds name is more valuable than any other team in Division 1 and so they will have a more steady cash flow than the other teams in the league. So I think they will get back in perhaps 2-3 years.

Elland Road, although they have sold it, they still play their on a lease deal.

I do think they will get back up, although they have sold "stars" they have re-built very wisely with some very good players who are surprisingly cheap. I think staying up in the Premiership is another thing.
