Windows Media video problem

When I open a video file wmv,mpg or any other formats that you can use with media player I hear the sound but I can't see it, it's just a black screen. Anybody who knows what to do?

I dont think you need the Mega Pack. I have K-Lite codec pack full version & I have yet to encounter any problems.......especially those associated with .wmv's :)

Well I installed version 10 at micrsoft's website and now it works. But thanks anyway to Joe Star and ngyc
