Winners and Losers of the Summer 2013 Window

B9Goal

Senior Squad
Well the window is about to close soon and unless Arsenal do some quick business in these next hours, they will surely be the biggest losers of the transfer window.

For me the obvious winners are Tottenham reloading the squad with quality talent.

My losers are:
Arsenal - for their "bargain bin" dealings and wasting time in the market.
Real Madrid - this one was tricky because they are getting Bale but I felt Real overspent for him and blocking everyone else from leaving the club.
Manchester United - Paul Scholes is suiting up as I type this.
Milan - not because they sold Boateng but because they probably won't be able to bring back Kaka on loan with the money they just received.

Who are your winners and losers of this summer window?

Starting XI
Agree with your list there B9Goal, but would put Madrid into the winners list.
Mainly because of Isco and the other young Spanish talent they signed. I think that kind of balances out the overspending on Bale.

I knew I forgot about Isco and Illarramendi as they could be the next gen superstars for Real Madrid. However I feel Bale's presence could create a rotation nightmare for Ancelotti.

Real Madrid is one of the few teams that has covered they neededs you fool. Real competence for Ozil and Di Maria, a backup for Alonso and an attacking RB.

Isquito is not 'the next big thing' he is one of the best players around already.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
Based on your point, the same can be said for Barca and Neymar. I can then go onto say that based on this weeks game against Atletico, they can't play well together, and this will be a disaster. But I won't say that because the season just started. Bale has yet to play a single game for Madrid, but after a few weeks, we'll see what Ancelotti is bale to do with out midfield.

The lack of signings by United and Arsenal, is good enough to put them on the "Losers" list.

Tottenham is the clear loser, 100M spend on shit instead getting Di Maria or Coentrao or both in Bale's deal.

What a great signings for Spurs, if most of the starters werent newcomers i'd say they are EPL challengers.

Juve wins this, we made money and strengthened the team,

For example: signed Simone Zaza, sold 50% of him for more than we purchased

Bought in Llorente for free on lower wages than the outgoing Iaquinta

Bought in Tevez and sold Matri for more (H)

Padoin fills Giaccherini's hole with little difference in team structure whilst now Pepe is 90% back and he is Giaccherini with size and talent, I'm not sure about Tevez being plan C - I doubt we would have spent >15 million so other players would have been unrealistic or stupid (Osvaldo)

Also loan of Gabbiadini to samp is already looking great
