can u confirm this? and isnt WE10 = PES6?!
Mmm nobody knows if ever Konami will have(buy) Licenses for EPL...
ask "seabass" Takatsuka san for this :jap: :)

You can consider PES series the same as WE except for some gameplay tweaks and little changes here and there...
Consider also every Konami PES/WE/WE I/WE LE game out is a "tweaked" and "patched" version of the previous ones.

p.s.
to tell the truth I'd love more the possibility to add/create infinite new teams and leagues into the game, without any restriction of "slots", rather than new licenses, if I had to choose.

imo the graphics need a massive change, lyk they r ok from time to time, but they cant keep using the same (well almost the same) graphix system every game, they need to spice things up a little bit, thjey have the gameplay (well pes 4 did) now all they need is graphix to have a truly better game, i excluded licenses cos its something i dont think ea will ever give up

because KONAMI already push the PS2 graphics to the limit. you can't expect better graphics on current-gen console. you may said PC is way better than current-gen console now but don't forget, in fact KONAMI didn't made any "PC version" of WE/PES. all the games we playing at the moment are direct port from PS2. if you want superior graphics, wait for next-gen WE.

I really hope in the World Cup challenge every national team will have their own National Anthem during the team presentation on the pitch...
it would be great! :)

If only someone could confirm this :jap:

(or must they buy licenses even for anthems??? :nape: )

ehh...whats the differnce of this international mode, i mean we had international cup in the previous pes/we games, the only difference is you can go through qualifiying..which is alright....i rather them make a game, which u can play european leagues, and cups, and have most or only important teams fully licensed...seriously though when u guys play pes with your buds do u play using clubs or national teams?...clubs is way more fun..

At least they could update their current faces, or include more player faces with the current graphics quality level...I mean, how much could it take them to include 50 or more faces? For example, Riquelme looks nothing like the real player while others do...

can someone list the # NT features in this game (WE veteran from other forum or anyone) ?

I can't find it from pesinsight.com. nor gamefaqs.com.

I'm looking forward to see the PES 6 version since here in North America, we only get a ported from PES.

Thanks for the trailer :)

A huge disappointment of course.

-Untouched graphics.
(And don't start with the PS2 limit talk. Fifa's pitches on PS2 look far better)

-They added some 'back-heel' animations, and a Backward Bicycle kick. Yippee.

What a terrible let down.

But I have to admit I really liked the part when the player quickly held the ball with his hands, placed it on the ground, and quickly played it before rising up. I cud only hope its one of MANY new realistic reactions.

But overall, far from enough.

Last hope:
Someone plays the game and says the gameplay is MUCH BETTER, more fluid, more realistic and fun to play.

That's my last hope after having watched the trailer.

From EuroGamer.net

This year's Winning Eleven is coming out a bit earlier than usual, Konami's announced, so that everyone will have it in time for the World Cup.

Reports based on a Famitsu preview and an unveiling event earlier today also identify some of the changes fans of the series - known as Pro Evolution Soccer in the west - can expect from the game, which is being released on PS2 in Japan on 27th April.

Player animation is a big deal, as ever, we're told - with shooting animations in particular coming in for close scrutiny by the development team.

According to reports on the Famitsu piece, producer Seabass and his team are also introducing a Simple Setting, which automates things like formations and substitutions - which should be enormously useful for those without the time or patience to learn the subtleties of Winning Eleven's hugely complex and versatile stat system. There's also talk of simplifying passing, shooting and through balls.

Apparently the refs have been reined in a bit too, and won't give so many free-kicks - something that annoyed people when initially adapting to last year's versions, which made it much harder to gain possession just by pressing forcefully.

Most of the other changes mentioned are to do with game modes - Master League, for example, will now allow you to select whether you want players to age or not. There will also be a new International Challenge mode, where you get to take part in regional qualifying for a World Cup of sorts.

Speaking of which, the amount of licensing has gone up - apparently the English, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and Argentinean national teams are now licensed.

On top of that there'll be a Random Selection Match, allowing you play as teams comprised entirely of randomly selected players - which is good news for those of you who play random teams during lunchtime or after the pub, anyway.

Finally, there's talk of a quick start feature that lets you skip through all the pre-match hoo-hah by pressing L1 and R1 together when prompted.

Expect much of this information to be clarified by Konami when it inevitably unveils Pro Evolution Soccer 6, which should also be released on a much wider range of formats than Winning Eleven usually is; expect PES6 to appear on PS2, PC, Xbox 360, PSP and perhaps others sometime later this year.
