Just replaced the match with a new match Arsenal vs Real Madrid, once again its a five minute 4 star game, little more action this time, kinda getting used to it a bit more now!! I'll replace the game again tommorow if anyone wants to make a request.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!

The gameplay was awesome. I think but im not sure that there was a little slow down when the crosses came in. That penalty you gave up was HILARIOUS. HAHHAHA. And than Germany go and blow it. New animations look great, the ref doesnt get in the way which is a good thing. And best of all CROWD reactions have been improved alot.

Thnx for the Vid I should be getting my game in about a week.

Yes, very nice, and the most important thing: Holland won from Germany :D
I recognized a lot of things which I struggle with too: Defending is harder, as your video showed and it is hard to score.
That penalty-kick was the first weak descision I have seen sofar from the new refs. Later on he did not give a yellow card, only a tap on the shoulder :D

I will make a video soon too :)

Good match, i really liked the strike that was saved by Kahn beofre the goal, rocket from outside the box.

Why did the Germans got a penalty? It wasn't a foul IMO.

And whats up whit the banners (flags) in the stadium. Ive seen some orange once hanging on the wall. Does every team has his own banners? And if so are they editable ingame?

Nice video , was that the PC version? if so what is your PC's stats. like the other person and a few other posts I read it seems there is slow-down at crosses? Is that what I saw?

a few Q's? on the game ... compared to PES3


In Pes3 a high ball from defence the CPU player if alone will bring the ball down on his chest, if i have a player near him and running at the defender, my player stops mid sprint as if to allow the cpu player to control the ball... also seen it happen with 50/50 balls on the deck.

Q? Does this still happen in the new game..


In PES3 for some stanger reason, you can't get near a keeper once he has the ball in his hands. its like a wall aroung him and you can't move your player into that space, very unreal not life like!

Q? Is this still in WE8/PES4.

Talking of getting near a player, freekicks apart, in PES3 at throw-ins you can stand up against the back of the player awaiting the throw? As seen in real life games you can do that and also another thing that come into the game (real life ) in the last few years , standing in front of a player talking the throw. I could never figure out why Konami never allowed this in there games..

Q? Can you in WE8/PES4 stand a player right up against the back of a player awaiting a throw-in? or stand in front of the player throwing the ball?

Because the ref made a dumb decision. They made the refs fallible on purpose this time, which is a good thing because in real life refs make stupid decisions at least a couple of times a match in my experience. I've heard that the referees are all different in style this time. Some are really bad and some never make a mistake.

Also, thanks Sim for posting this video, it's badass.

oK I have a few questions for you

Can the keeper drop the ball if he catches it? I mean can he put it on the ground and dribble like in fifa?
Are the replays longer?
and why was there no commentary in the game?

Coz` he turned it off :rolleyes: or had to take it out coz of the file size.

Well somethings looked good some didnt..but maybe thats because you werent playing that well:P it reminded me of my cousins games in pes3, just run at high speed through the whole field and play thru the middle;)

Anyway, i didnt like that thing the player does when he sprints..i mean, sending the ball 3m ahead of him and then catch it, it looked like the dumb fifa runs:o can u control that thing or its just random?

That's the super dribble, it's always been in WE. L2 + R2 + Diagonal direction/

I did play a shocking game of footy in that game :) but it was the first time playing so it was a bit strange getting used to the new style of play cause IMO it has changed a hell of a lot!

It is PS2 version, i have it on wide camera angle i've heard that its the crowd that causes the slowdown problem, i think its really pushing the ps2 graphics capabilities to a new level!

I will answer the questions in the topic as soon as i've played it a bit more and find them out :)

I will try and record a better game aswell, and particular teams anyone?
