Winning Eleven/PES Next-Gen Wishlist thread

Tell Konami what would you like to see in next-gen Winning Eleven/PES.

1. Master League
At the start of the Master League, the ability to choose 2 teams, a national and club squad. So In the national team you could call up players and go through qualifying stages for major tournaments like the WC, confederations, Euro or Americas cup. Also I would like to be able to simulate games, thats a must for me. Also remake the player development system so the player growth will be based on performance, playing time and potencial. Also use real money for transfer, I'm tired of the "points", use contracts and all that stuff. Remake the Stamina System.

2. Gameplay
I love WE/PES gameplay, its the best, but there its plenty of room for improvement. For instance, Add more curls to shoots, not some ramdom curl like we have now but somewhat a control curl.

Effective Dribbling Moves. Stepovers are useless in this game when in real-life its one of the more effective moves to use in 1 on 1 situations. the same goes with fake crosses, hooks. I want the rabona shot as a time of pass too. I would like a juggle move or put it up move, so we can be able to lift balls for "sombreritos" hats? or in other situations.

Penalties suck, I would like to be able to place the ball with the amount of power i like and wherever i like.

Better Passing. I would like to be able to pass to an open space not just where the recieving player is running to. Also better lob passes, not the high fly balls we have now. just remake the passing system for god sakes.

3. Misc.

More fluent animations as well as more animations, 3d grass and 3d crowd. Uniform animations, great weather effects, and more chants so we can have a better enviroments.

Commentary. Bring some emotional guys that yell when some1 scores or a shot on goal. Add more lines and specific player commentaries too. Nicknames will be so cool too.

Bad referees desitions but not that often.

Thats what i would like to see in the next gen or next WE/PES titles

Elo Ratings
For the last time, expand more national teams, at least 150, IMO.

I know it's a difficult task for Konami & anything is possible if they want to do it. I hate it everytime seeing Konami's expansion in clubs every year. It's boring !

just at the top of my head....

1) Replace Master League with Career Mode.

2) Moving Side-line warming up players, cameramen, coaches, security...etc

3) Quick Cut-scenes derived from reality situations and reactions.

4) A Customizable camera view

5) DISCRIPTIVE COMMENTARY.... describes the area the ball is being played to/at, describes the players' moves...etc. Plus, change the voices.

6) Remove the robotic dribbling runs... There should be a variety of dribbling animations that change in random, and according to the player's place on the pitch, wether or not he's surrounded by another player, winning or losing...etc. Adding many dribbling animations will totally change the 'computer' look of the game...

Just watch how players change their running style in a real match.... that would be a killer animation.

At the end of the day, we'll see minor graphical changes and minor gameplay chages... so this is 'really' a wishlist.

- more dribbling moves (feints, fakes, rabona-cross, more freedom when executing these moves; e.g. combining some of them, to be able to cancel the move, or controlling the speed)

- ability to lift the ball up and with timing you can play with the ball like cafu or ronaldinho did with some defenders.. (e.g bouncing from chest 2-3 times)

- manual control of curling (in shoots AND passes, too)

- more player specific animations

- more cutscenes during play

- longer replay mode (i want to see the passing before the goal, not the last shot only) .. also ability to save replays of goals scored online..

- better highlights at the end (include dribblings, some cutscenes, good passes etc..) also make better camera angles..

- boost up the atmosphere (e.g. better comentator; coach at sideline; player warming up; better crowd e.g. more chants - better goal sounds)

- more realistic ball sound (e.g. different sound when its cold etc..)

- make weather a bigger part of the game (ball stops rolling from water when its raining; dynamic weather conditions)

- better super cancel - e.g. more freedom, better controlling

- slow build up play - e.g. you have more time when with the ball before passing it to next player

- manual control of camera angles, different camera view for each stadium

- better net pyhsics (e.g. look at Football Kingdom), and also different net types and goals for each stadium

- better penalty mode - more player specific shot animations, better aiming of shots..

- ability to "add" teams to the database (work for patchmakers .. lol )

- mouse support in PC version - better menus - get rif of PS2 style menu text and graphics

- and better online mode of course - reduce the lag; ability to choose the optionfile used for online..

:ewan:

Yeah spectator mode for online if possible.
Better penalty. (Every series practically the same old system...For penalties it's already broke and it's time to fixed it)
Ability to save goals online(just freaking scored a goal with van de sar from open play. Passed the ball around with a few one twos. Then Van de sar dribbled and turned to make space and shoot with his left into the back of the net. And this is online against a decent player) :rockman:
Better online connection.
More license
Some gameplay tweaks

AND NO MORE MULTIPLE RELEASE!!! :kader:
(Unlikely that Konami will stop doing so but a good wish)

I am referring to International Superstar Soccer for SNES. The camera angle for PK is the same as in WE.

Each player controls a box superimposed over the goal, and can move them during the run-up with the arrows, up until the instant when the shooter strikes the ball. The keeper box determines where the keeper will dive, and the shooter box is where the ball will be aimed. If the goalkeeper box overlaps the shooter's box, it is a save. Otherwise, the shooter scores (unless he has placed his box outside the goal frame, then his shot misses). The goalkeeper box was larger, but moved more slowly, so the player controlling the keeper had to do a certain amount of guessing and anticipation, just like in real life! Also, better goalkeepers can have bigger boxes, and better shooters have smaller, faster-moving boxes.

I hope I have explained it well. It really captured the essence of the PK, giving you the ability to fake out the keeper.

worked the same way on the N64. i thought it was a great system. i think the 'keepers probably saved a few more shots than they would in real life. but it almost made PK shootouts something to look forward to. especially with multiple players since it rotated shooting and 'keeping duties.

I might be thinking of N64. I never owned the game or system, but only played it a few times at my friend's house.

The great thing is, it seems easy for them to adjust the variables to better reflect reality. Keeper's too good? Just make their boxes smaller/slower. Anyway, I'm glad somebody else agrees!

BTW, I also wish that the keepers would be better about parrying shots, rather than setting the table for easy rebound goals.

- Team entrance music. Most teams have their own music nowadays.
- Personal team chants for as many teams as possible
- For the above 2 options. A seperate program which will allow you to insert your own songs and chants with ease and assign them to a certain team.
- When a team is cruising and the ball is being passed around, the croud cheer every pass and boo when the oppostion wins the ball.
- Less strict offside decisions.
- Slightly easier freekicks. Maybe steal the freekick system from Fifa 2004.
- Remove the ref's bias against the winning team (usually me. the ref will penalise me for every foul yet the computer gets away with everything)
