but in the report Egypt came 2nd not third,
and what you said about the people of Egypt you will not find people more friendly than the Egyptians :)

When South Africa did n't get the World Cup for 2006 it was a sad day in my country, I don't want to go through that again. Even though the hosts' proximity to Europe is a factor, that should n't be the main basis to judge.

All of you guys talking about crime is South Africa, dude compare a common criminal who snatches your bag in the street and the terrorist that kills innocent people. There is no comparison there. If the decision is going to be made purely on merit, South Africa will no doubt come up tops, but as we all know its a host of other factors, politics being the major ones, I hopes we don't have a$$ h0les like Charles Dempsey who won't vote.

One of the posts made earlier in this thread refer to South Africa as having the worst crime rate in the world and my response to that is that in Morroco there are terrorists fraction, are we not going to award the World Cup to Morocco because of that...I don't think so. Those are isolated incidents...same as in South Africa, what is in the news is not actually a reflection of real life.

There is crime in South Africa I agree, but there's also terrorism in Morroco, if we are to generalise things.

Hey, hey enuff with boycott talk, we will know the decision tomoro at 12 midday South African time (GMT+2), I can't even eat, don't worry guys if the World Cup comes to South Africa, you won't have to pay for accommodation and food, I'll give all the guys in this forum beds in my house (and of course free beer or coke) make sure that the World Cup 2010 comes to SA...
