I hate people like Iaquinta. I'm going to be bitching about this all World Cup I think. He went down and had his eyes closed, wincing in pain, and then the camera clearly showed that he opened them to look for the ref. Then he gets on the stretcher like his leg broke, they take him off for 2 seconds, he hobbles his first 3 steps, and then he's miraculously fine. I hate that garbage. Stop pretending you're hurt!! That's why refs make the "get up you jerk!" signals to guys who are legitimately injured. It's the most dishonest thing in the world and if I was ref and Iaquinta got up 2 seconds after getting off the stretcher and asked to be let back in the game I would have stopped play, gone over to him, and gave him a straight red.

it's doubtful, and one replay only was shown which didn't help.
but I wouldn't be surprised had the ref given the penalty....

STFU... :kader: The defender from Ghana should have been sent off for that kind of a tackle from behind, even more so after the referee had blow the whistle.

Good win for the Italians, they were very creative in their attack and had a lot of really good balls to their forwards and the wings. In other words, they were the complete opposite of the USA.

Nice game by Italy and Ghana. Italy's defense was excellent!! Tony played quite good and goal from Pirlo was a bullet! Ghana showed up a good performance.

rofl so true, Iaquinta needs acting lessons. That was pathetic. Unfortunate mistake from Kuffour cost Ghana a second goal.

Italy played well, but Ghana definately deserved a goal for their efforts. If Ghana had a decent striker with some experience on finish, I guarantee this game would have ended way differently.

Italy deserved the win, Ghana's football is not mature enough to cope with Lippi's tactics.
Italy were very organised in defense, and always looking dangerous in the attack.

It was a nice match, only lacking more goals.


Ghana has a good team but after this result I see Italy going through together with the Czech.
