Elimination Team of shame

GK-Al Daeya...Duff says thank you.

D-Insert Saudi defender.
D-Insert another Saudi defender.
M-Okocha...nice moves, no assists.
M-Veron...Man this guy is nothing special.
M-Wiltord...In fact all of France's midfield.
F-Batistuta...disappointing.
F-Boksic...retire old man.


Second round team of shame

GK-Sorensam...England say thank you.
D-Jeff Agoos...Portugal, Korea, Poland say thank you, Mexico and Germany wish you can get well soon.
D-Danny Mills...I know England haven't given up any goals but one, but this guy tried hard to allow more.
M-Reyna...captain my butt this guy SUCKS.
F-Sukur...hasn't done squat.

I will have more as the tourney progresses.

everyone must remember that all the players are giving 100 % and if they are not upto scratch then its up to the manager to replace them... so all in all any selection problems re the managers fault !

You gotta relize that Sukur hasn't played 100% due to his half injury he's been playing on. Thats why he always get help from Ilhan at the end.

Since Hakan Sukur is mentioned a lot for not doing much ..... well? ..... I had to throw Davor Suker in there as well because the name similarity brought them both to my mind. :D

How can he be overrated?..I mean, he's old now...very old....and he doesn't play much for his clubs = bad performance = no one expect anything of you........so how was he overrated? :confused:

OK So I guess he is overrated by me, because he was one of my favorite players.
I say he is overrated and he doesn't deliver in the sense that a lot of people expected him to be a good game coordinator and motivator since he is a veteran at this WC.
Usually veterans don't score much but they motivate the younger players a lot.
Suker however has been substituted a lot and kept on the bench a lot. Other Croatian players got the chance to shine however.

But still ..... Croatia not advancing really disappointed me. They beat Italy and lost to Ecuador? That's unusual.
Croatia needs to get young talent in the squad very soon.

OK, i can see your point...yes----he was on the bench alot.....because of his sh** performance against Mexico, and due to the lack og ability to do exactly what you mentioned: to motivate the team, and use his experience...

And we do have young talent: Olic...remember him ;)
And also defender Tudor and other players :)

Chilavert (so fat, allowed a ridiculous goal for Slovenia,was he the ball?)

Mills (this guy tried hard to allow more goals against England)
Agoos (USA suffered 6 goals, 4 on Agoos fails, and 1 own goal)
Fernando Couto (too slow)
Jorge Costa (terrible,ridiculous in the first 20 minutes against USA)

Verón (He played the world Cup??)
Ortega (he played the World Cup or a diving championship?)
Caniggia (he break a record.... the first man to be sent off without play!!!!!Congratulations!!!)

Suker (1 awful game in the wcup...weak for the 98'golden boot holder)
Dugarry (if he wasn't Zidane's best friend he wouldn't be in the world cup for sure)
Henry (i resume his participation..0 goals,1 ball on the post,1 red card)

Davor Šuker has been crap ever since he went from Real to Arsenal after France 98. He's too old and too slow, and so is Bokšic.

As for Hakan Sükür, he's been one of the biggest disappointments in the World Cup so far. I'd have thought he'd be Turkey's best player but so far when I've seen him play it looks as if he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

Also anyone from Argentina, France, Italy, Portugal or Saudi Arabia to go in that list of sh*ttest XI...

As for the ref it's got to be López Nieto... that stupid Spanish ref who booked 16 players. He's blind and books players for soft tackles FFS!

U can add that Korean player (Dont know his name and dont care) for a similar (i want to break your leg and only get a yellow card) challenge on a Portuguese player.
