Well rock songs finished 1st and 3rd.

To my fellow Aussies whom are Guy supporters: Did you ever hear of Kurt before the event? Guy got rave reviews and was made fun of his afro so you could say he got his own treatment.

According to Guy, Simon choose the songs for the contestants (possibly to make Kelly and Will look good with all the money invested in them he would want them to finish 1st and 2nd by a landslide).

Norway Well I didnt see this one coming. Kurt was pretty good, his song was a great choice and he can actually sing (possibly better then Guy if you guys remember Paulini and Cosima beat the **** out of Guy with their vocials.

USA Money can buy you success and possibly lyrics by Christina Aguriela (**** spelling that) and Four Non-Blondes, but really she struggled and was shown up to have no real vocial talent, but like Britney she will go far with out them.

Belguim Used the rock voice to great affect. If you have a small range of vocials you can pull it off. Next time you guys go to the pub and get extremely pissed and watch the karaoke you can
actually see people pulling it off - this is singing but really not the professional version.

South Africa Well mr Baked Beans got me. He couldnt sing at all - his looks supposedly got him that far (i put it down to the mass south african ex-pats around the world that increased since the apartheid ended) according to one paper that i read on this Heinz was fortunate to win in SA and that it was racism that pulled him over the line (again I said supposedly).

UK I dunno what Simon thinks of this. Simon hated Will from the begining. Gates has provern to be more successful then Young overseas which probably makes Simon think of the one that got away. Will was just to camp and it showed during the results.

I dunno where everyone finished from here so I just go from what i think they finished.

Guy: Yeah great talent, better then Shannon and Millsy but Paulini and Cosima had more talent. Guy went on the unique factor unlike Heinz and Kelly, but people may have thought he was to weird.

Poland - Alex: dear god this girl doesnt know what she was singing. She was singing the lyrics and putting emphasis on the wrong words

Canada: Buddy Holly well it worked but seen it before - cant tell if he can actually sing.

Holland - didnt see couldnt judge, he looked painful enough

Germany - Heinz lookalike.

Pan Arab - She was good probably the only natural singer (remembering the purerist form of singing is opera singing, which is what i think she was actually doing).

I don't know why you think Kelly doesn't have talent. She deserved to win American Idol and she has a good voice. She probably would have finished in 3rd if she was on the second American Idol (Ruben and Clay are both better) but she still has a very good voice. Unlike Britney she is pretty talented.

Simon Cowell definitely wanted the person from the USA or UK to win because those are the ones he is involved in and they have record deals with him. While Kelly was pretty good I didn't think she would win. I was actually surprised that she got 2nd place from nearly everywhere, not because of talent but because of nationality.

I thought Kurt (the Norweigan) was pretty good though. He won pretty much unanimously, the only place where he didn't win (where they could vote for him) was the Pan Arab vote.
