I just bought the game today and I am having real problems running it. The game refuses to load. My desktop does not change. the CPU does continue to work and the we7.exe shows up in task manager under processes . I am completely confused. Everything else in my PC works great. Please help! Its the US version. Specs: ATI Radeon 9800, MSI k7n2g Mobo, Audigy 2, 1024 mb pc3200 ram, 2200 Athlon XP. All of my other games run w/ no problem. I have all updated sound, mobo and graphics drivers (catalyst 4.4).

I don't know if this will help, but have you tried disabling your virus software before launching the game? I haven't seen this mentioned as a problem on this game, but I know it's a problem on other games.

Also, WE7 is not nearly as smooth graphically as PES3, at least for me. With long passes and clearances, the players are very blurry.

I found the problem. I disconnected all of my controllers and the game booted up just fine and works fantastic now! It was my Nostromo speedpad that was the problem.

the caf file is the intromovie from pes3/we7. With some people the game hangs when the intro is about to start. Deleting the intro (.caf) and therefore skipping it, helped some people playing the game
