Was Kanu howler worst in history?
Kanu's miss in the last minute of West Brom's 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough on Sunday has been described as the worst in Premiership history.
With the goal wide open, the Nigerian lobbed the ball over the bar from one yard - something his new manager Bryan Robson said was "almost impossible".
BBC Sport's message boards have been inundated with recollections of other classic misses from stars such as Ryan Giggs and, of course, Ronny Rosenthal.
One football fan says Rosenthal's miss for Liverpool in the match against Aston Villa, when he hit the bar after rounding the keeper, was the worst in history.
"Rosenthal's was worse as the ball was just sitting there for him. Kanu at least had a moving ball to contend with."
Laurit Zenc makes the case for Manchester United duo Ryan Giggs and Alan Smith.
"Giggs' was in the home defeat against Arsenal a couple of years ago and Smith's was the recent miss after Ronaldo had headed against the post."
Fans remember Giggs' miss, which was similar to Rosenthal's, because it came in a high-profile cup match and involved his famously unreliable right foot.
Another Manchester United player, Steve Bruce, has been touted by Oxygen.
"I liked Steve Bruce's miss in the FA Cup some years ago. To top it all, he did a pathetic jump to go with it. Classic comedy!"
The sturdy defender tried to sidefoot the ball into an empty net but instead sent the ball soaring over to the delight of the opposition fans just yards away.
'Paris Spur' remembers Milenko Acimovic's embarrassing howler for Tottenham against Fulham. "It was similar to Kanu's but he was closer!"
The Slovenian midfielder never recovered from his miss - a spectacularly feeble miskick from three yards - and not long afterwards he left the club after just 18 appearances.
But one fan dismissed all other claims in favour of Kanu's magical mi**** because:
"1. He was less than two feet from the goalline.
2. If he had not moved his foot, the ball would have hit it and gone in.
3. Even if he had made bad contact with it, there was so much of the goal to aim at that it had to go into one part of it. It is inconceivable that anybody could put that chance OVER THE BAR if they re-ran it from now to doomsday. In fact, even when I watched the action replay, I thought that this time he must score!"

Hahaha
Worst miss for me is by Diego Forlan against Juventus on American tour, he was in front of bloody empty net. He was like 80 cm away, with no goalkeper man.
