Yeah, easily moddable (I've got a stack of old WE7 cds 
), GFX much sharper and cleaner plus the remote possibility that someone could develop a multiplayer patch...apart from that it's a straight port.
Edit : just read your post properly, thought you were asking if it's worth getting PES3 for PC if you've already got it for PS2
I'd say definitely yes, by KCET standards PES2 was a pretty poor effort. Many many improvements to animations, dribbling, passing, response time...goes on and on. If you're unsure rent it but like all KCET games it takes a while to get used to the feel of the game.
