WE8 comes out FIRST in Japan. And is for NTSC-J only. HOWEVER, sum of us here in the states have modded PS2s so we can play Jap games

PES4- European or PAL version of the game. PAL cannot be played on NTSC consoles and vice versa. Minor adjustments from WE8.

WE8I- Is a direct PORT of PES4 PAL converted to NTSC- US and has MINOR adjustments from PES4. (Some XTRA things are taken out for this version though. For xample WE7I had only 1 ball while PES3 had like 4 to choose from.}:f***: :f***:

The only reason I will be buying WE8I is because the SLOWDOWN prob will be fixed or reduced. All the player names will be in english( WE8 it sucks for ML if u have just option file) AND the commentary will be in English and SPanish:rockman:

As i'm aware, through my long and loving experience with the WE and PES series. The ':I' series has replaces the 'FE (Final Evolution) series, and is actually an update of both rosters and tweaks in the gameplay.

It is WE8 and PES4 that are the same game for different continents, with the small gap in the releases being used solely for translation, roster update and tiniest tweakings. Unsurprisingly the Japanese like to fill their time inbetween WE's with anj updtae in both roster and quality.

Hence, the small gap in time between WE8 and PES4, and the big gap between both of these and WE8:I.

Also, a J-League version of WE is out around the same time as PES4 with the full version for the japanese fan, and the same small tweaks that PES4 will get.

Complex, but genius. ;)
