One point i noticed with heading one on one:

As the ball is coming towards you keep pressing back and x as if you want to head backwards. What i realise is that the player gets in a much better position (usually in front) then his oppenent. As the ball become very close then i chose the direction i like to head the ball.

Obviously this can only be done with long ball so you have the time to do it. Example goal kicks.

Anyone noticed this?

Yes, noticed it, with one difference: You don't need to keep pressing X. Just time it well and one press is enough :)

BTW, I also disagree about your way of using R1+R2. It is very difficult to hold these buttons AND using your other fingers to hold the gamepad in your hand AND use your thumb to press the right buttons.
Its a bit uncomfortable at first if u are not used to it, but its ok after that. Just dont keep 2 fingers on l1 and l2 as well or it gets really awkward.
Another reason is because there is no need for. There is a setting to switch howmuch the CPU steers your man (in the player-setting).
It varies from auto to complete manual. Using your free way of playing goes best by setting to complete manual.
That setting controls how quickly the ai will switch the player u are controlling (like u do by pressing l1), although there is a bug which makes it change player sometimes even on manual. It has nothing to do with super cancel.

allright, i'm getting the hang of this game.

I've finished one season of master league. I have bought a few players but for the most part have sucked.

Thats not what i need help with though....

What are those little arrows in the formations menu?

I think they are for condition or something but am not sure......??

could someone tell me if the arrows really matter in the gameplay?

yes the arrows do matter,

red- great
yellow-good
green-normal
blue-bad
gray-terrible

dont ever play gray or injured

try to include red players

be carefull with the bar that shows their energy, give them a rest once every five games or so

yeah, i give them rest......

but how exactly does it affect gameplay?
also, how do you get the arrows to red?
is it automatic? or do you have to do something?

Actually, i also thought something else up?

under the green bar theres a small red bar.... (sometimes) does that also indicate the level of fatigue?

is there a difference between the red and the big green bars?

thanks for the reply btw.
