WOW- the Football Fusion works really well

its fantastic...this is what we've been waiting for us footie geeks, i jus brought TCM 2004 today..and its lovely...and now i get to use Football FUsion and play the games in FIFA 2k4...brilliant...

i always thought that the teams/databse, season mode and even career mode in the FIFA 2kX series were sloppy, this year was a big improvement methinks (hence why i bought it instead of PES3) but its still sloppy...now..with TCM 2004..it is anything but...i mean the scope of detail is great

I will only leave the FIFA series if it goes crap or, if Championship Manager and PES do a football fusion game...

Btw...i am still annoyed that FIFA2004 u can't curve the ball in passing .... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...watchin Inter v Arsenal their were so many curver passes...and this feature was so cool in FIFA 2k2, ah well...enough reminscin.

WOW...TCM 2004 is amazing.....just being scrolling through it really is...its the perfect compliment for FIFA 2004....which wud be near perfect if u could curve that nuisance of a ball..

So many options...its really cool..and football fusion just lets u play the games with FIFA 2004 and u do all the managing with TCM 2004 including starting line ups etc...fantastic..this is wha ti've wanted all along

yea i haf ps2 total club manager 2004 and fifa 2004 and football fusion rockz!! Its damn freakin nice. Only thing is it takes a while to reload back the total club manager game, so i dont use it too much, one in 2 or 3 games, n the important games.

It rocks true..but i have the PC version....this is my impression though.

iF TCM 2004 is the game your playin...then it sets the graphics, stadium players etc that FIFA2004 uses, u can't change anything like u would in normal FIFA2004 games

Adv = advantage
dadv = disadvantage

dadv. The first match you do the fusion with will take ages to load,but the 2nd and consequent matches r quicker by far.

adv. The tactics that you set up in TCM 2004 are the ones that are employed by the AI in the Fusion match...

dadv. LIke in normal TCM2004 games...u can only change team strategy tactics at half time only where the game goes back to TCM 2004

adv. All the player faces etc are as in FIFA2k4, and even the stadiums are labelled corretly etc as they are in TCM 2004...haven't yet played at a big stadium to see if its used..but i suspect it is.

dadv. I dont seem to be able to increase the detail level for fusion games...and my sound cuts out this mayb an easy enough to fix problem though..i'll fiddle around with files and check if i have to make the adjustment in FIFA 2004 rather than TCM 2004 whose graphic and osund options are rather limited.

dadv. this may change as wel...but i found only one of my controllers present...unofrtunately it auto-detected my sidewinder original instead of my logitech Wingman or THrustmaster, and i can't choose between the two...again this maybe I think i can change in FIFA2004 itself or play around in the EASports folders

Alll my disadvantages I think are local problems a little tweaking should solve...its awesome though...because u can play the games as in FIFA...pretty cool huh...i'll keep u posted if i find any more inconsistencies or if i fix any of the problems mentioned

You can't download football fusion...its part of Fifa 2004 and Total Club Manager 2004, you can ONLY use it when you have both games installed on your computer ...or if you have both games on a console.

Could somebody use football fusion files to update the performacnes and rosters in FIFA 04 so that people don't have to buy TCM 04?

There isn't a Creation Centre though because of TCM.

I think I'm going to buy TCM, export the rosters to FIFA and then take TCM back!

In a nutshell football fusion lets u play TCM 2004 matches in FIFA 2004 or lets u use the databse of TCM 2004 in FIFA 2004...

TCM has over 1500 teams and u can use any of them in FIFA2004 and in total club manager 2004 is basically a much more detailed menu section of the FIFA series...on FIFA 2004 check the Whats new section or down load the video, it will tell u more

Hey, Macell, it´s great that you´re providing some info on this! I was wondering if you could answer some questions?

1. Roughly how long will the loading times be when you import a game from tcm to Fifa?
2. There are many teams in TCM that is not in FIFA...how will these teams look? I realize that there will not be correct badges, sponsors, and faces. Neither will the commentators say the players names. BUT...will the kits at least resemble the original by having right colors? Will the stats of the players correlate to Fifa? Will black players be black? Will blond players have blond hair, etc? In other words...what kind of realism are we to expect?
3. There are many player stats in TCM that is not in Fifa...how does this affect the fusion games?
4. How about stadiums? Are there more or less in TCM? Will the created ones show up in fusion mode?
5. What about difficulty modes? Can they be separate? For instance can the tcm part of the game be set to easy, while the fusion games are played in world class mode?
6. Is there a difference in gameplay between TCM fusion and Fifa? If so...what?
7. If I want to play fusion with one of the many excellent game play (like "luis´s feel the gameplay") patches...can I do so?
8. Are the game more laggy, is the frame rate lower with fusion than with Fifa? I got the feeling it was that when I played the demo.
9. How do I change zoom in fusion? There was no way to do so in the demo.


As you can see...there are many questions concerning the football fusion. I would love some answers before buying it . Thank you for your time.
I hope fusion works as intended...because TCM REALLY looks sweet! It would add so much depth to the Fifa game.

PS. I also have a distinct tcm question...what does the difficulty level effect? Is it just that you get less money on harder levels, or is it also harder to buy players and so on?

What i think i do know is that TCM Manager sets AI tactics...which is far more detailed than you can adjust in FIFA2004...i suspect that a lot of the variables that you can change in TCM 2004 for each game...and believe me there are quite a few....those variables are variables in FIFA2004 also except that they are fixed for playerss and teams etc at certain default values and i think you can only change them in FIFA2004 if you edit some of the files setting files...whiles TCM 2004 imports this these settings for every game you use 2004 to play.

You can be a lot more tactical in FIFA2004 using TCM 2004 ...but i'm not sure if all the tactical changes u employ in TCM are carried out in FIFA2004, ...but i suspect that they are...afterall the engines were built to match completely...

To have the same effect in just FIFA2004 that TCM 2004 tactical changes have when you play a match using FIFA2004, you will have to do a lot of editing before you start each game in the files using ACCESS etc...as you know the amount of options you can change in 2004 are quite limited...but there are far more variables available in the files than FIFA 2004 allows you to use and thats because TCM 2004 uses/changes these values..or FIFA2004 simply uses the TCM values not sure which...will tell u if i find out.

Nah, I dont really think so...thats more Creation Centre stuff...TOTAL Manager i think is quite fixed.. i dont know all the options yet...but you can export up to 10 teams into FIFA2004...i think that mayb because FIFA2004 can't cope with more than that number of teams.

it may just be me, but i think the whole playing games thing in fifa is awful. You don't play fifa 2004, you play the 3d game in tcm 2004. That may sound odd, in fact i'm a little confused about what i've said!! .

I don't think it plays like fifa much, it just feels different (not to mention the buttons are different , took me a while to work that out) It's really slow, even slower than fifa which is quite hard to believe. And i'm not too happy with the AI of my team, i've played a couple of games using fusion and the AI has conceded 4 penalties!!!!! not good not too mention not fair!!

In some way i hope this was because i was near the bottom of the league and my fitness wasn't the best. If this is the case then i might be able to let it off. I am only contemplating this might be the case because macell seems to like it alot, but i'm not holding out much hope!!

In TCM Manager 2004, you can change formations, shirt numbers, team tactics, waht you can do is then import the team to FIFA 2004 , and then into the league.

Basic stadiums from TCM 2004 are imported to FIFA 2004, i'm not sure about the bigger ones yet, but i'm working on it.
