I have just one thing to say. FIFA IS OWNED.
You can allready see that pes3 is alot better then fifa even tho you've only seen the screenies :) hurray for pes3

What does "having to put with FIFA 2004 mouthing obsenities from the stand opposite" mean? Was the EA guys heckling the KONAMI booth because of pseudo club names?

WE7 is gonna take a whole lot to beat, having played the game, i would have to agree with everything that has been.

Sure the fifa game will be "neat", but then you will see massive flaws in the gameplay, and the whole weather thing is just another nail in the coffin.

EA need to fix up, look sharp. and buck up their ideas

In comparison Fifa 2004 reviews have been mediocre. I really do want EA to put the liscences to good use and make an excellent FOOTBALL game, but in one interview i remember an EA rep basically saying if u want sim go to PES.

Will EA be in for a shock when the sales figures come through??

1. I think there's a long way to go before EA is shocked by WE sales -- at least in the U.S. -- but man, Konami is gonna start nippin' away at FIFA's market share over the coming years -- if they're in it to compete in the long term. The announcement of WE7:I indicates they are.

2. Since we're among WE brethren here, I'm still amazed by anyone who truly, objectively compares FIFA gameplay to WE/PES and determines FIFA is better...

...but I also understand ingrained habits. If someone's played FIFA for several years, WE takes some getting used to -- and also the commitement to learn how to play the game.

3. We all benefit, however, when there's true and fierce competition among these companies. If FIFA 2004 kicks ass, then Konami should be inspired to out-innovate and vice versa. Footy nirvana is the goal -- but it's the journey towards that goal that matters in the end.

PES3 on the other hand, looks like it will be identical to we7 in gameplay:D.

Yeah PES3 will have a few tweaks to the animations , to make it a little smoother, and more updated squads

I'm going out of my mind... I feel like the kid who waits for Christmas from the start of November.

PES3 at the end of october or start of November. I just can't wait, all these reviews I keep reading of WE7 aren't helping my impatience. The release of screenshots and video's just makes increases it worse. Then the realisation that there's still nearly 2 months to go before I can get my hands on the game. Arghhh! But I just can't stop reading new things about it, or looking at new videos of it. (Anyone got any good videos of full-matches?) Can't those nice people over at Konami work 24hrs a day and get it ready in a couple of weeks? Pleeaaase!!! :)

Oh well, it just looks like I'm going to have to be patient and wait until it comes out, until then there's a playable demo being released next Friday that you can get for pre-ordering the game. I don't think I've ever looked forward to a demo as much ever.

If you're already impatient to play WE7 or PES3 then I recommend not reading this review ;)

Great to read the animation is going to tweaked some more for PES3, cause I wasn't completely convinced by the vid's. But this is just a minor thing.

If I had a PS2, I'd have ordered WE7 already.

I've sworn off consoles. :)
I'm not buying one for the next decade at least.

And what sense would there be in buying a PS2, having it modded just to play WE7 and then buy PES3 for PC in december/januari and never touch the PS2 again?
