This series has been my personal favorite in the last five years. Nothing else even comes close. The first one was great, the second one was amazing and I'm sure this one will be even better than the first two. I can't wait to see it!

Saw it today. Didn't like it that much. Personally I liked the first two a lot better.

I didn't like the fact that a lot of the characters were killed off. The Xmen that I know as a kid are not the Xmen in this film that saved the day. I couldn't connect with them at all.

Beast was fine, but Angel was useless and Callisto sucked. the other friends of Callisto (bad guys) sucked too.
the depowering of Mystique, Rogue and Magneto was horrible.

and while I love the idea of the Sentinels, I didnt like the design of that sentinel head in the danger room.
I did like the Iceman vs Pyro showdown. those kids did good (Y)

but there's more bad stuff. Juggernaut was a total disaster. Kitty Pride got more lines and action that many of the top Xmen put together. who the fvck is she??? (retoric question). Colosus sucked. no nightcrawler (I knew from before but still, him not being here sucks).

and what you mentioned, Xavier and Cyclops dying so lamelessly bad, and Jean dying too.

everything was just horrible. Im not blaming Ratner though, the problem is the script, somebody castrate Zak Penn and Simon Kinberg asap please!!! (N)(N)(N)

It was just crap... really, I mean the cartoons were so much different and the comic books to. These are not the X-Men at all.

the storyline was kinda ****, but the movie itself was great. lot of action, good acting... loved it. but again, the storyline :S

It was OK, but I liked more the first and second part...

It was too simple.

Good as an action movie, but bad as an X-Men movie...

It was like a big action sequence, with an underdeveloped story...

In the other X-Men every mutant had their chance to shine...here it was too much and too fast...

The movie producers and writers rushed this script and Ratner, with what he had to work with tried his best with some fantastic visuals. The script was rushed and it ended up being hollow with very little depth. Though some good points were the new Storm and the visuals. Mystique losing her powers was really lame, they should've added a few more good minutes with a sequence with her getting caught cuz we have no idea how that happens in the first place she just shows up in jail. The part I hated the most was Wolverine being such a pansy.

Yes, the story was a great idea but it was badly developed...

Few movies deserve 3 hours long, but i think this one deserved more time...

Things that could worked better: SPOILERS!!!!!!!

1. Storm being the leader with brain and Logan the spiritual leader, the heart of the last mission.

2. The death of the Professor and Cyclops, this could be the motor of the entire movie, but instead it was like a background story.

3. Dark Pheonix like a soldier!!! She is the master of the universe!!! she could wipe out the entire humanity, instead she destroy a Lab/Jail...

4. Iceman vs. Pyro, could be the Logan vs. Sabretooth or the Logan vs. Deathstrike of this movie....instead it lasted 3 minutes and Iceman iced up for a header (headbut), come on...!!!

5. TOO MANY MUTANTS FOR ITS OWN GOOD...!!! Angel, Callisto, Multiple Man, Beast...all of them, under developed...

Script was DEFINETLY rushed, or trying to make it too shocking.... Killing off Professor X????????? Are you kidding me??
Cyclops dead?
Mystique gone??
Rogue gone?

Sure these are all shocking and uncalled for... but...

At the end of the movie, in the final scene, Magneto, after being injected with 3 times the dose, is able to move the metal chess piece without touching it.... Maybe that means that it IS reversible, and not permanent....

But, this still won't bring back Prof. X and Cyclops..... Maybe the writing was intended to make this part the FINAL part of the triology....

You just can't make another X-men movie without Professor X, Cyclops and Jean Grey....

But I guess this was intended, because there WON'T be a next movie.

But ultimately, I LUVED the movie... although in some aspects, Part II > Part III.

You guys are nuts. This was a really fun and entertaining movie undevelloped script/story/characters and all. Of course there's gonna be a 4th one, it just cashed in $124 mil in a weekend. Fox would be insane to drop it.

- Nobody is dead and whoever lost their powers will re-gain them because nobody ever dies or loses their powers in comic books :fool:
