i hate the things. i dont care if they're for charity or not. i refuse to buy them on matter of principle.

you can get them for every single charity possible. its stupid.

its donating to charity, even if its a tiny amount it can still help, yes i know they have become a fashion accessory, but hey if it helps fund cancer research and cancer victims then what is the problem??

it doesnty hurt you does it?

More like the last year, Liam. At least over here, anyhow. If I remember correctly, they've been around since last year's Tour de France.

Why not just donate money then :ewan: Surely the bands cost something to make... at least your certain 100% of your money goes to charity :)

Well, im not naming names, but some american charities cannot be trusted: Even things such as the tsunami and 9-11 relief saw profiteering over here, but i guess it goes on everywhere. Thats why i only give to oxfam, though

About the bracelets, i dont have a single one (was considering getting a 'Justice for the 96' one eventhough im not a pool fan) but people are right, they now have them for Duke and UNC baseketball, general sports wear, novelty party jokes, and other stuff which kinda demeans the whole purpose for which they were started. You can even pick up one or two different cause-related ones in your local 7-11. But as has already been said, if i donated to, say, livestrong, i would give the thing away or leave it in a drawer, just not to be part of the yupp crowd that have it cause of march madness or something silly. Racism, cancer, genocide, justice, these are reasons to wear them. Then again, i dont even wear a watch on my wrist

(the adjoining limb is unbraceleted)(Y) :jap:

Aye, Here its been about 7 months really, I just didn't wanna over-exaggerate or sound like I was.

People at work got a load of them in last month, I was like, oh god. They've only just caught on :nape:

Correct me if im wrong, but cant you only order them in bunches of 10, 100, or 1000? If so that might explain how, for example, a workplace, has an epidemic of them, as one person has no use for all the ones they get

Your right, you can only order them in those (or those about) numbers. I've seen them for sale individually before in a Footlocker in Belfast but apart from that the only other use for the excess would be to sell them on eBay or something

Many people here in Hong Kong wear Livestrong too. And the latest ones are the black and white "Stand Up Speak Up" ones. Shops havent started selling them here but someone orders many of them from overseas and sell them like HK$100 (about 7 pounds) to people in some newsgroup/forum. the original price of the "SUSU" band is 1.5 pounds each, right? or at most 2 pounds...those people who sell that high price and those who buy are.... :nape:

anyone know how much is the SUSU band in UK, USA or other country?
