yeah but I think this time you might have a quality one.

With all due respect Cisse could be better than Heskey, Baros, Diouf, Sinama wahtsit...

Owen-Cisse could turn out to be a big hit right from the start next season. That is if he signs.

... Anyway that part you were talking about Ewan, when you actually don't look forwards to games anymore, is very representative. I feel the same really at the moment... at the end of the day its all about expectations. I remember not being this disapointed in NUFC when we finished 11th.

Over the second half of the season, to be honest. The first half I enjoyed very much. Defence was good, our goalscorers did their job, and Ronaldo had much less pressure on his back and I enjoyed watching him do 16 stepovers just for kicks and the defenders actually backing off when United attack. Now everyone tries to pressure us and create turnovers.

Off topic but I'd like to brighten this thread up.

Saturday was St. Totteringham's day, which marks the date every season when it becomes mathematically impossible for Spurs to win the League.

Have a good one. (H)

Sad for all Liverpool fans, my commiserations(is the word right for the occasion?) to all of you.

The very first football match I saw live on TV did have Liverpool, it was a pre-season friendly, and was quite impressed by them especially, Owen was very um... pacy in that game.

Probably that game in 1999 got me hooked to football, a change of heart for a formerly die-hard cricket fan.(Hey living in India and thinking now cricket's just another game .. takes a lotta influence)

Anyway I feel the phase Liverpool are going through should end just before the season's over, prolly the last 4 games would see a more resolute Liverpool side.

Cheers to all you Liverpool fans, hope you get out of it.:)

superb post ewan, as soon as i saw the title of the thread i knew who it would be about! :( we're in a frustrating state and houllier says the fans can relax because he wont walk out, ide be more relaxed if he did walk.

Super post Ewan (Y).

Theres only one team that deserves my sympathy and comiserations though, and thats Nottingham Forest FC.

Forest are going through just what Manchester United and the older generation of supporters went through.

Relegation & 25 years without winning the Championship.

Once again, great post Ewan.

As big as a rival Liverpool are, I have alot of respect for them and what they have done, not just for themselves, but for English Football aswell.

Nice post mate. Wish we had more of that around here. I feel for you. I use to to go Patriots games when they were 1-15. It just makes the winning all that much more sweeter.

Hope is coming next season.

The name: Djibril Cissé (H)

Although I don't like his arrogant ass much, I reckon he'll tear the EPL apart.

Nice article Ewan.. brought tears to my eyes... maybe it's because I feel the same way
but there's 'our anthem'... "walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown"

Owen has spent enough time on the sidelines this season(although not his fault), that counts as a rest.
