My old Sunday League team used to play our home games on a pitch that was horizontal with this slope:

The pitch is at a right angle to the runners. For some *bizarre* reason, all the action seemed to be on one side of the pitch (:/)

Yeah, we played on one in Valbonne (France) and the slope was huge - when you were against the slope you were knackered quickly but when running down you couldn't stop the ball rolling, and if you were running too fast you fell over as your legs couldn't keep up!
