Shawshank Redemption
Fight Club
Big Lebowski
Donnie Darko
Dumb and Dumber
Zombieland
V for Vendetta
American History X
Scarface
The Lives of Others

Those were off the top of my head. It would be hard to narrow down a top ten if I had time to think about it.

Didn't think I could do this, but I actually think this is a pretty accurate Top 10. Couldn't order them though, like them for different reasons.

The Godfather II
Inglorious Basterds
Scarface
The Empire Strikes Back
The Silence of the Lambs
A Few Good Men

Dumb and Dumber
Blazing Saddles
Beerfest
Revenge of the Nerds

Jakko, I LOVE The Blues Brothers, but Revenge and Beerfest have become movies for me that I will watch every single time I see them. It was on the list initially, but couldn't keep it on, but it's #11!

Django Unchained will almost certainly be on this list if we do it again next year.

De Niro? Or you preferred the story? Or both?

I preferred the story. When I was making the list I wasn't even thinking about the De Niro storyline, but that just confirms it as the first thing on the list.

Heh. If I was to put together a "Guy List--No Comedies" these are probably the 10 movies I'd pick. Maybe not Schindler's List, replaced with Basterds or Godfather.

Godfather 2 is the better movie, I've said this forever. Duvall ftw.

Honestly, I think most people feel this way; Godfather just gets the respect because it was the first, and out of reverence to Brando.

I only know one person, IRL, who shares this view. I honestly don't like either movie that much, only seen them both once, but I prefered the second and I always have to argue with people about it.

Mission: Impossible

I don't mean the movie :D, it's just too damn hard to pick only 10...I could probably do a top 25 though.

It's a funny coincidence you guys mentioned The Blues Brothers, because I happened to watch it yesterday (H)
having James Brown, Aretha Franklin, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles and Cab Calloway featuring in the same movie is outrageously awesome...instant classic for sure.

I love it!

Chacarita Juniors

La Haine (Hate)
City of God
Taxi Driver
Fight Club
American History X
Pulp Fiction
American Beauty
Se7en
Training Day
Half Baked
12 Monkeys

Le Haine & City of God are my favorites. Some I can't think of and some acclaimed ones I've never seen like A Clockwork Orange, Superbad, or The Hangover.
