Your views on the Champions League and UEFA cups formats?

I heeard that CL format would in a few seasons be changed to the one with 24 (in 6 groups)
Personally i liked this system better, since the only way you could be sure to go through to the quarter finals, was by finishing first.
And also hate the fact that it's not like in the old days when onlt the league winners could participate.

And it would be cool to see UEFA cup in a tournament format like CL!

I think it will be better if it goes back to where only the champions of the respective leagues go.

I think it's ridiculous that it's called the Champions League when the top 3 team from each country can qualify for the 'Champions' League, it should be either called the European Cup (or European League rather) or just reduce the competition to the way it was in the early nineties...
I bet you anyone you like that UEFA want this compittion to merge into a European super league

my two cents....

Champions League: Bring back the "champions only" league, and this time with ALL champions. I liked the old elimination tree much more. This way there are more upsets, as these days only big league teams reach the finals...

UEFA Cup: no changes.

I thought that the UEFAcup would be like the CL next season with poules and not only two games for each teams (or more if they go through). That's the way it should be I think so that teams can grow in the tournament in stead of going out if they lose one or two games. More excitement and more games for the footballfans anyway

the CWC was merged into the UEFA Cup because most of the teams in the CL should play in the UEFA Cup, leaving the UEFA with few teams.
