Download the Japanese commentary language and place it.
Change the commentary language to Japanese with the audio settings in the game.
If you can not change it to Japanese please try the following.

If you do not use French.
[French to Japanese]
1. Back up FIFA 18.exe
2. Open "FIFA 18. exe" with Hex editor.
3. Text type "fr_FR" Search and edit to "ja_JP".
4. Text type "fre,fr" Search and edit to "jpn,jp".
5. Search "ja_JP" in another place different from the above "3" and edit it to "fr_FR".
6. Save your changes.
7.Start the game and change the commentary to Japanese with the audio setting of the game setting.

If not successful in the above.
[French to Japanese]

No problem. Thanks for doing it, I'm from Poland but I hate Polish commentary and they do not sell English version here. I had it on mute through the 17 because I had no idea it could have been changed up until now :)

Perhaps, the global (Europe?) Region seems to contain DB files of all text languages.
To use an unsupported text language, you need to edit FIFA 18. exe with the Hex editor.
Also, to use an unsupported commentary language, enable that text language and place a commentary language file.

My game stopped working after the last Fifa update a week ago.
I had to uninstalled and start afresh.
The old files (lang and commentary for POR BR) didn't work anymore and then after a long time trying everything my game now boots but only in English.

I'm downloading the new language file. Fingers crossed!

Sorry but at the time of the official update the unsupported commentary language file will not be updated so you have to rearrange the new file. Please tell me in the future when you officially update.
