I love surfing... But that's kind of different. It's not a sport where you actually have to win anything. Ok there are competitions, but you just surf and the judges decide who surfs better...

As second biggest sport after soccer I have to say that is tennis. C'mon everyone knows what tennis is and how it works.. Mother of racketsports...

Stop the dicussion about Cricket, nobody in the States knows how it works, and in Europe mainland nobody knows about it either. So no way that's the 2nd largest sport...

Golf is pretty well know too. I know it's very popular in the States, in Europe, and even in Japan...

Motorsports too, but then you're talking about watching a sport, because it's very hard to go racing yourself and not many people do it...

Basketball is pretty large too, though i think more people know, and play tennis...

So this is how the list looks like according to me:

1. Soccer
2. Tennis
3. Golf
- Basketball

duno, but when it comes to tv ratings, nfl is up there, superbowl gets more than anything accept the world cup which is pretty good considering its strictley american.

its gotta be basketball, best sport hands down followed by soccer, football, baseball, waterpolo, handball
