sup guys.

wow i couldn't believe how relaxed argentina was playing! amazing.
if argentina didnt shift down a gear in the 2nd half, which was irritating me, i would predict a 5 - 0. I had to watch it in a brasilians house and brasilian neighborhood.

Well we qualified, now we wait for the cup

DANG.
Al I have to say is :kader: :kader: :kader: <- that guy looks like roque junior.....and I can say that ALL 3 GOALS were partly his fault. HE SUCKS!!!!!!! HE's A PLAGUE!!!!!!!

Oh man he angers me!!!
the first goal was RIDICULOUS defensive mistake I dont know what the frick Brasil were thinking, R Junior, again off position!!! The second goal was partly his fault because he just let Riquelme turn him, as if Riquelme was the fastest player on earth. That goal's credit does go to Riquelme, he's an incredible player, and I think argentina's best. He's really good! The THIRD GOAL....oh man, AGAIN! RJ is in knowhere land, he cant keep up with ANYONE. not that Crespo is bad and slow, but he missed his marker EVERY TIME. He was ridiculous.

Overall Brasil just played terrible. Not the same team that played against paraguay. We had no idea what was going on from the beginning.

Ronaldinho....Ronaldinho....he was angry tonight. He cant play unless he's smiling. He wasnt smiling tonight. He was ticked off, and acted unprofessional. This time we had Dinho, but I preferred when Ronaldo played for us. He did a lot more in that game. Granted this was in Argentina. Dinho made that excellent run in the first half, and then got some fouls in the second, but he didnt do much else. Next time we'll have both, and that should be better. We'll see you in the confederations cup!

Good work argentina. We are even in the qualifiers now. 3-1, 1-3.

What a DARN good rivalry!

What a great game if you're an Argentina fan, damn :jambo: Great goals, but the Riquelme one took the award, it was just incredible. R.Junior looked terrible out there, how he gets a starting lineup is beyond me :kader: Argentina pretty much schooled the Brazillians and were onto just about everything loose.

Great game!!

argentina played very well. riquelme, saviola, crespo, lucho, mascherano and roque junior among others were very good. brazil's defense is far from being good and when they get even worse, that's what we get. with our awful passing and argentina's pressure on brazil's defense, the consequences are obvious. but it was not only the defense. the midfield was terrible too, and, unfortunately, nothing can take zé roberto off the team. i don't think he's crap, but there are better options for me. ronaldinho should be red carded, no question. he, robinho and kaká were well marked, but if that's enough to let them with no action, they should have changed something, or subbed. parreira is very conservative concerning substitutions, and even with good names on the bench he doesn't do much.

obviously i'm not happy with the result, but i think that brings at least one good thing: it showed brazil is not that good. for the players and also for the public -- many people around the world (including on these boards) were kind of under illusion after the game against paraguay. if brazil had beaten argentina, people would keep under that illusion (but then that could be a true illusion, hehe).

brazil did good against paraguay, but it looked we played better than we actually played. why? because, like william said, paraguay were sleeping. yesterday some similar thing happened on that first half-hour: argentina played brilliantly and they were helped by the total brazilian disorganisation. i'm not taking any argentinian credit off here, after all they were good enough to make a good use of the brazilian flaws.

ps: stats are mismatching. some says it's 33-22-33, some 34-22-33 (argentina-draw-brazil) and there may be other different ones.

Ronaldinho just sucks when he's angry. he dribbles alot, and fast, and sure, he makes good runs, but he always wants more, and then he screwes it up. Adriano shouldve scored that late one in the second half, Sorin shouldve been red-carded :). No offence to all Argentinians, but the guy is dirty as hell. Dives all the time, kicks around too much, you name it.
Imho, Roberto Carlos was the best Brazil player on the night. He set up numerous chances for goals, but everyone hit it wide. Ronaldo would have put those away :). then he took matters into his own hands. What a free kick, amazing.
As for Argentina, the whole team was amazing in the first half, passing the ball around with such ease. I dont know what Brazil's defence was on tonight, but they sucked alot in the start. In the third goal, Dida pointed to them which spot to pay atenttion to, yet Crespo scored from that very position :). Mascherano did very good, breaking up a ****load of attacks, Lucho was excellent too.

By the way, does anyone else think that Ayala looks like a well-fed Inzaghi :). Seriusly, they're like brothers.

Haha, he does :fool:

Also, I think the ref did a bad job at keeping the game under control.

First, he should have red-carded that faggot Ronaldinho, instead he didn't and Sorin should have got a red for stupid challenges.

Oh well, I am still exstatic from this match :jambo:

I think the ref could have been a bit stricter too, he allowed too many reckless tackles and confusions, could have sent off one or two players...
Riquelme was amazing, MoM for me... and the brazilian attacking four was totally neutralized by the argies midfielders... now it's just about waiting for the Libertadores to end and Mascherano will come to Corinthians!

The game reminded me of the first Barça-Madrid match this year when Barça won 3-0.

Barcelona's midfielders/defense gave our attackers no room to work with and Barca killed which is what happened yesterday, especially in the first half. ;)

I don't think that Sorin wasn't that dirty though and he recovered many balls along with Riquelme i think he also was a man of the match, and all the 3 defenders, Coloccini, Ayala and Heinze(He received many fouls also Sorin received many fouls too) played pretty good, nothing to do in the goal of Brazil. It was said way before that match that Brazil's weakness was the defense specially the centre guys and evidently Argentina took that chance and scored there. And yeah guys you seem to blame Roque Junior only but Juan was hardly named in the match too. I didn't get why Roque Junior went to attack in some plays to do nothing just run aimlessy.
