Damn, the gas stations around here hiked their prices. It's $3.18 right now and it was about $3 two days ago. Amazing.

i guess just recently, a military convoy has arrived with food and medicine. what the hell took so long? with all honesty, this government should have had a better plan to take care of a situation like this. they knew what katrina's position was before it hit, and measures should have been taken. i agree the city couldn't have been saved, and countless lives would have been lost anyway, but i can't believe it actually took 3 ******* days before any help could arrive. unbelievable. convoys should have been on they way the second katrina was within 10 miles off the coast. were they expecting a category 4 hurricane to just dissipate as it hit the land? :kader: i can't immagine the heartache and loss of life that could have been spared if there was a better contingency plan :(

You can ask Arash, I knew those walls were gonna break, i was telling people.

If my stupid ass can see that, surely, surely someone else did. Why weren't they better prepared? It's not the city's fault, it's the federal government.

They should have taken a bunch of jets, choppers, and busses, and got people the **** out.

Wow, some kid stole a school bus, picked up a load of stranded people and drove them to Houston for safety. That's pretty damn heroic. The kid said he didn't know how to drive, either.

Why do people give such a devasting hurricane such a beautiful name...

they didnt, the name system was designed over 30 years ago in order to keep track of storms, the names are pre-set in alphabetical order as far out as a year before the hurricane season begins, so when the storm forms it takes the next name in line

Yeah all the white people in NO had the resources to leave the city ahead of the storm. the inner city people (predominantly black) are the ones left behind....the great American divide strikes again!:nape:

reasons for disaster:

1- America is a racist country and blacks have always been opressed, if the victims were white you would've seen this whole thig avoided by not taking risks and also you'd find battleships scrambling in to help and save lives the next day it happens...unless it was allowed to happen on purpose for political reasons.

2- The governor is a woman, now im not a sexist but i don't really see her being up to the task and she seems to have went into a hiding in washington DC and is by no means a leader, Women can not lead men on most occasions...

3- The hatred that everybody has for America and the pain that have been caused by it's very bad policies towards other nations surely will be answered and the Americans will pay for it unfortunately, When an Iraqi women or a Black one loses her children and cries to god he will answer regardless if anybody believes in god or not, It's just the justice of life and how it works.

4- Once again the whole situation looks like Rwanda or Sudan, I can't imagine it happening in America but because it happened there it has to be emphasized because it's not supposed to!!...(A missed penalty by zidane will get more attention than a penalty missed by Phil Neville!!)

Of course its wrong to enjoy the pain of the ppl but i bet you the some ppl of the world are enjoying that and thinking (Have some of that c u n t s) and let your president save you now...

I guess, that it is the policy of this administration to act only after **** has hit the fan.....a true shame...I challenge anybody that voted to both place and keep this administration in place to prove me otherwise about the dereliction of this president and his crew....

The Terry Schiavo saga got a lot of attention while hundred of black ppl dying needs 3 or 4 days to response??

as i read somewhere else:

"The Republicans can get up in the middle of the night to have an emergency session to vote on a bill to interfere in the personal decisions of a brain dead women in Florida, but they are just now getting the aid bill to the hurricane victims passed. AND the Republican Speaker of the House didn’t even bother showing up for the vote because he had a Republican Fund raiser to attend."
