They really should not use the BCS for inter-divisional tie-breakers. It's worth noting that even though the BCS was the 5th tie breaker, one rather prominent tie-breaker was left off-----> POINT DIFFERENTIAL

Senior Squad
Slayer made a major error in his projections. He forgot Cincinnati, the champions of the Big Least, who just happen to recieve an automatic bid to the BCS. In all likelihood, they would be headed for the Orange Bowl, where they will meet the winner of the ACC championship game, which will be a guaranteed sell-out.........of the first 10 rows of the lower deck.

Orange Bowl would never take Boise. You left out Cincy anyway.

Stuff like that happens all the time. When I was a teenager in the mid-late 90s Oklahoma and Alabama were hopeless programs. They've rebounded.

Apparently, Graham Harrell overcame 9 bone breaks spread out over two fingers to lead Texas Tech to a 2nd half comeback, and subsequent win, over Baylor.

First two things that come to mind when I hear that are Peyton Manning and the gutsiest college QB I've ever seen, Brook Warren Berringer.

If Ball State wins the MAC Championship Game, MAC and WAC officials are trying to set up a Boise State vs. Ball State Bowl game. That would be really cool, two undefeated mid-majors left out of the BCS party despite being high enough to get there if not for Utah (or in Ball State's case, Boise too).

So Tommy Tuberville appears to be out at Auburn. 85 wins, 1 SEC Championship and 1 undefeated season in 10 years at Auburn. They were just utterly dissapointing this year....I remember watching parts of Auburn-West Virginia from one Thursday Night early this season and they just couldn't score or do anything much on offense.

The Legend
I'd like to see this.

If Alabama wins the SEC and Mizzou somehow shocks Oklahoma people are saying Texas should be in the Championship game. I think Utah should be in the Championship game.

Utah are the undefeated champions of a conference with two teams in the top-11 (Texas Christian).

You could argue that Texas aren't even the best team in Texas, why should they get to play for the national championship?

The Ball State-Boise State game will not be taking place. This has now been confirmed. An agreement between the 2 conference commissioners could not be reached.

We may end up having another split national championship if both Oklahoma and Texas win out. I think that the AP may just end up keeping Texas ahead of Oklahoma EVEN if the Sooners beat Florida/Alabama....assuming that Texas beats their Bowl opponent.

EDIT: I just can't see Oklahoma beating Florida....Alabama...maybe, but not Florida.

I hope Texas Tech finishes in the final BCS top 5. They've really entertained this year. Unfortunately, I think top 6 is as high up as they'd get....
