WTF he is doing changing cesc for cazorla?? USA has already more players in the mid why the hell he put a winger?? LOL the change should be silva for riera and mata/cazorla for villa or torres.

good luck in the final :browsmiley: busquets its better than alonso

Since it was a straight red card, do you think we can appeal to get Bradley in the final?

Thats what I was thinking, can we streamline that because they would have to overturn that decision and then I would like them to drop the ref off in Tampa, FL so I can take him to the Gracie gym where I train and rip his head off.

starting too many premiership-based players ...
I'll give you that for Riera. Seems to me the only reason he even gets a start is a natural left foot.

Bobby - I'll give you that for today (Y) Spain were outplayed.

Thanks for being non-partisan, I didn't see any penalties out their all day. I remember a spanish player crawling Josies back as well but I wouldnt call it a penalty.

I'm not sure if we necessarily out played them, but we had a plan and executed it. And I definitely think there was some arrogance on the part of Spain, which was on full display by Ramos on the second goal.

That's what happens when you play too many Liverpool players (H)

Entertaining game overall. USA fully deserved. Their tactics were better tonight.

Another BS Red Card... Where is FIFA coming up with these people to Ref these games. Its like their mission is to change the games outcome based on their decisions...

i dont think it was penalty. it was nothing.

now yankiee mates laugh about stupid madrid medias (whole spain medias)
one for arrogant.

and the other for dont care about his team but cry when the catalans or bask wheeze the antheim.

That was an epic performance by our boys. They were exhausted for the entire second half but they never stopped running. So many desperation tackles and blocks, and some great saves by Howard.

Is this a bigger victory than the win over Portugal in 2002? I know it's only the Confederations Cup, but given Spain's quality and their recent track record, and the fact that this was an elimination game with the winner going to the final, I'm inclined to say yes.

If someone told me before Matchday 3 that USA would be in the finals, I would have laughed. Make your neighbours to the north proud, you yankee mother ****ers!

Yeah, when i say outplayed i mean in terms of sticking to their gameplan and their workrate. I don't think Spain expected such a tough game.

At that point in time, there was approximately a 1% chance we would make it out of our group. There was also maybe a 5% chance we'd beat Spain in a semifinal match-up.

That means there was a 1 in 2000 chance the US would make it to the final.

i rate coach son better, his work were awesome, whole team make a great defensive/counter attack work wich the useless del bosque dont do anything. i still cant belive how he can keep silva benched whole match and remove cesc JAHAHAHHHA

all is madrid faul, If spain were a donut, they were 5 times world champions

My player ratings:

Howard - 10 (no comments necessary)

Bocanegra - 6 (he was the weak link in our defense all night long; questionable decision by Bradley to insert him at this point, but then again I'm not sure Bornstein would have done any better)
Onyewu - 9 (was his usual one-man wall in the US defense; they should have used him as a levee during Katrina)
DeMerit - 9 (Un-f**kin believable effort. His distribution is awful, but impeccable marking/tackling)
Spector - 7 (Not his best performance of the tournament, but still good)

Bradley - 8 (shame about the red card)
Clark - 7 (solid defensively, but his passing needs to be smarter)
Donovan - 8 (balls-to-the-wall effort)
Dempsey - 8 (the man scores in big games against big teams)

Altidore - 7 (tremendous physical play)
Davies - 7 (his constant running off the ball occupied Spanish defenders)

Feilhaber - 8 (I usually don't rate players who come on so late in the game, but damn, Benny had a fine game. Helped set up the second goal and then twice put US players through, only to be thwarted by non-existent offside calls.
